About Shana, the series is coming to end so the better choice is wait for the last volume. Zero no Tsukaima... I don't know how the things are in the novels.

The Shana is doing fine and Zero no Tsukaima is still ongoing with the elves war and stuff but it's been a drag. And what's Hina?

The thins is Index had lots of material that it could be justified for a 2nd season already. And if the other works are ending then should they just wait for it to all ended up so they would do a crappy anime original ending again?

And we'll finally get to see if this "Athena" is as hot and/or deserving of her popularity in the manga in November. Apparently she is on the verge of pushing Hinagiku off her throne.

Speculation of 2nd season of Index?

1. Gonna need a good amount of Kaori-swan.

2. Def gonna need at least some Kuroko-sama, ever since Railgun I've totally fallen for Kuroko-sama and it wouldn't feel like a To Aru Majutsu series without some Kuroko-sama!

well to be honest if theres at least some Kuroko-sama then I'd probably be content with whatever they throw at me, she's by far my favorite character of the series.
which honestly surprises me cause usually someone like Kaori would take that spot by just looks alone.

just wondering but I'm guessing alot of new character are gonna show up?
Wiki has a huge amount of characters for this series.

I wonder what would they do on materials that are possible for railgun. Will they also air it on Index.

One thing for sure about Railgun, no magicians allowed. They already skipped Stiyl's cameo and if it wasn't because Index is always next to Touma she would have been skipped too.

In first season they skip in vol 2.

On how Izzard massacre those roman gergorian chant army. And some cruel tidbits like on Accelerator cruel way and works + background. Then in vol 04 they skip the angel battle and Kaori's past.

They practically skipped on that one because Touma doesn't know about it. Toaru Majutsu no Index attempts to focus on one character (e.g. Touma and Accelerator) and would sacrifice multi-character PoVs like that Roman Catholic Church slaughter (because it would require to shift the setting to the RCC) and Kaori's past (because it would open the Amakusa Church that should appear later on).

Now that you mention it. But they also skipped the arrow of Azusa that should only cause 1 episode on them. Though the Setting would be different because if they do that. They would need to make it as Accel and Touma exist on the same world. Though they already did that on the part when Accel walks by on Touma's apartment but their would be major planning to do. But I think that's still manageable for them.

The Arrow of Azusa mini-arc is merely a way for people to witness how dangerous a single grimoire can be to the human body. And it really did little to no impact on the plot in general.

But still they did change some on Accels side with it. And it gives time for INDEX which is supposedly had more time of INDEX =_= .

Even though to aru no majutsu no index entirely is magic vs science and centered on Touma and Accelerator then they add up Shiage. It's just funny when the name of a heroine is included on the title but she has few screen time

Well, let's just say that her existence is like a black hole, pretty much like her stomach. The story revolves around her, yes, but it's ANOTHER person who acts in her accord.

While this may be true, it does not come up during the 1st season of the show. The point was that most of the content cut from the novels were events that took the focuses away from the main characters or introduced plot devices that would not be covered in the first season.

Anything skipped during the first season can either be covered in a later season or does not add to the overall plot.

My speculation is that the arrow of azusa mini arc would be used as the pilot episode for season two to re-introduce the characters and the story for moving to the real meat of vol7.
