GIFs also don't support transparency; no really it's just 1-bit of alpha transparency, the fancy partial transparency is completely out of reach; additionally it only supports a measly 256 colors (and the hacks for more aren't really anything usable). PNG-8 supports transparency but is basically gif quality when it comes to colors; PNG-24 supports both perfect colors and transparency. More importantly though both PNG formats can display red tones properly.

I wondered how long it would be before Imageshack 'changed its mind' on image hosting. It seems like the new trend to change policies toward restrictive directions while still insisting you 'look at their ads, etc'.
I don't post pictures often but am taking notes on the currently favored ones mentioned here.

I wonder what's happening with Imageshack..
Caused some problems for me at another forum, most of our front page at that forum including the banners and buttons are hosted at imageshack. Sometimes all the images hosted at imageshack turned into frogs, and it lasts for a day or two before reverting back again. Happened three times. After the third time it happened I went to admin cp and did the tiresome task of rehosting all images into another image hosting site. Problem solved.
