One of the rules of reviewing any sort of media, 'know what the hell you are talking about'.

How the hell do you be more "objective" on a REVIEW which on its core consist of an OPINION as long you're able to back it up.

I really suggest you guys start reading up on these:

I'm a TYpe-Moon Fan and I don't find Fate Zero OMG super great. Right now, it's good but that's all.
I'm sorry but for exemple take this sentence

Quote:
Even then, many details are left unclear: the characters spend more time discussing and preparing how they plan to fight than actually fighting.
The use of a colon just baffles me,what's the relationship between "Even then, many details are left unclear" and "the characters spend more time discussing and preparing how they plan to fight than actually fighting."?
It seems really weird to think that many details are left unclear because characters spend more time discussing and preparing how they plan to fight than actually fighting.

It's also seems weird to complain about things not being explained and then spend the rest of the review complaining about characters explaining too much stuff.
Now,maybe he meant: "Despite characters spending more time discussing and preparing how they plan to fight than actually fighting many details are left unclear."
Which I would find more understandable (but he never goes into details about what was unclear to him) but at no point does he actualy say that,he just complains about "Too much exposition" not "Exposition badly done" those are two very different things.

Again, him at the start of the review:

"many details are left unclear"

Him at the end:

"Too much exposition"

And I'll stop here but I could really go on.

edit: actualy I can't resist making another couple remarks

Quote:
Obviously, superpowered battles demand a full orchestra (and sometimes a choir) to express just how intense the conflict is; meanwhile, two or three characters just chatting with each other are only going to get some background noise as their accompaniment.
I can't tell if that's a complaint? It's the "only" in the sentence that has me wondering this.
Saying that the quiet pieces of the OST are not as memorable as the epic ones, why not. However it seems like the reviewer is just not liking the quiet pieces just because they're quiet and would want epic orchestral music all the time.

Quote:
Meanwhile, newcomers (...) might have to work harder to find enjoyment in the series. (...) the bloated dialogue scenes and endless explanations make for some pretty tall barriers to entry.
So wait, less explenations would make it easier for newcomers to understand what's going on

If it helps them understanding the relationships, why not?

The audience and staff of ANN obviously need more than that

Indeed. That Carlo Santos dude should be rejoicing at the timing of these charts' release, he might actually be able to moderately understand and follow the show now.

Having not read the LN and knowing it is a prequel, I'll add that pretty much every characters excepted Kirei, Kiritsugu, Gil and Saber are doomed by canon. But if it is a reason to skip a beautifully tragic tale, it sucks to be you. You may as well skip great works like Braveheart, Spartacus and many others.

Spoiler for ...:

You sure adressed the right person??? (or else you deserve that pic) because I'm open to any kind of stories (I know already about those works you mentioned) and I can be heartless person to the point such things as NTR, Mind Break, etc have no effect on me, so if senseless tragedies can't do a thing on me tragedies with a reason will be even more light more me. The reason I told mangalowres there is tragedy in this series is because indeed there is, not everybody would like to see their fav character getting a dead end, endure it and regret watching the series later, mind School Days, depending on the person there will be different levels of emotional impact.

nope, I was not talking to you, hence I added "I'll add". But to the guy you answered to. Do not jump the gun like you did.

It's just a visual aide to help. There's nothing wrong in getting more people beyond the realm of this sub-forum to understand more about the character relationships considering Fate/Zero can become very dense.

Since this is the generic section, I though this would be the best place to throw this out.

What would happen if Western stories decided that King Arthur was a woman? Take an example of a post-Avalon Arthur used in Science Fiction: You have a guy who believes he is Arthur on Babylon 5. He is played by Michael York. If they went the Saber route...who would you get to play Arturia in place of Michael York?

The characters in F/Z are meh~

Might as well throw in all of the characters in Artur mythos in the grail war

Saber- Arthur
Assasin - Mordred
Berserker - Gawain
Caster - Merlin or Morgan le fay
Lancer - Lancelot? lol
Archer - Bedivere? throwing/ brandishing the sword in the lake somehow makes him an archer? lol
Rider - Guinevere? since she rides lancelot during the night
Spoiler for arthur myth:
lolololol

Yvain, Knight of the Lion would have been a more appropriate Rider if you wanted to go full Arthurian legend on the Servants. Unfortunately I can't think of any other appropriate Lancer than Arthur, his other weapon was Rhongomyniad.

Since there doesn't seem to be a manga thread, I am posting here...

In the latest chapter there is a beautiful (guro/NSFW) drawing of Sakura... I think...
