Huh, some critic was also quite sure that Btooom! will have an original ending... but that wasn't the case. I hope that it won't be like that here too.

Well since I've only read a volume of the manga I'm just going by what the manga fans have been saying in regards to a (lack of) "good" stopping point. Also considering that SnK is a monthly manga an ending won't be in sight for a long time, but since it's already a massive property they can easily reboot this 5-10 years down the line.

REVO never dissapointed me since 5th story : ROMAN
TROLL FTL! The OP is beauty and fits in this show perfectly fine. It shows all the characters that are important to solving the story and the dreaded background and emotion throughout is bomb!

Seems like there is an unsourced(to my knowledge) rumor going around that MBS has blocked all simulcasts for this(except for France). Since this is an unsourced rumor(I have heard that it's from some Twitter folks, but nobody has given me a source for it yet), take it with a huge grain of salt.

I want to think that MBS isn't that stupid since legal streaming reduces piracy.

EDIT: OK, now this seems more credible.

Just watched it....

FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC. That is all.

They did conserve by using a lot of still-frames in slower parts, so they can focus their efforts on the action scenes. They didn't go all-out in the first episode like so many other animation studio does. This is a good thing.

I don't know anything about this series (other than that it's very popular) but I heard it was inspired by Muv-Luv Alternative. In what way is it similiar and will I like it if I loved Muv-Luv (The Visual Novel, not Total Eclipse)?

How do they rationalize that sort of move? Does legal streaming provide no revenue at all or something?

Holyyyyy @&@$. This was exactly what I wanted to see from the adaptation. Amazing, god tier OST. Story is being properly paced. And ridiculously epic titans. Wit Studio nailed this premiere.

My god that was an awesome first episode. I'm thinking this could easily be my favorite for this season.

As a fan of the manga I'm really glad the first ep lived up to my expectations. They got the tone of the series down perfectly and the musical score and character designs(good lord do the character designs look prettier than the manga's) are great. I didn't notice the apparent limited animation issues but I'm pretty sure they'll break out the heavy animation for the action scenes and stuff.

Only complaint I have isn't about the show itself but rather Japan's apparent decision to bar the US from streaming it. You'd think given how big a title this is they'd WANT to show it on as many legal venenues as possible and make more money in the long run by building up an audience base in as many areas as they can, but since they apparently want the show to be pirated, that's on them I guess.
