Personally i find both the story and episodes very nice. There were moments when i nearly fell of the chair bursting in laughter and moments when i was about to destroy my pc when things were going bad. Clearly for me this was one of the better animes i've seen so far.

Hayst, The anime I watched for nearly 6 months has ended...Wow, time was so fast in SAO....
Episode 25 Though I was glad that Kirito has meet Asuna, and oh, yeah the kiss.. I would have hope they made it more romantic and moving (it was only 7 minutes long).. Poor Suguha.. still left out at the middle of the show... Is she the only pure ALO there? The "last fairy dance" was good and was the highlight og the series and marks the end of SAO and a new beginning.... And lastly.. I was hoping ... they had an announcement at the end credits but no... Sword Art Online is the Best Anime of 2012.... |

So the adaptation of the first two novel arcs is finished. It's been a fun ride but a tad frustrating at times. Here's to hoping they animate the rest of the arcs for season 2 and 3. You'd think the author would've ran out of material to write about after this but surprisingly he brings something new to the table every arc and even manages to raise the stakes a bit and do a little switcheroo. Here's to SAO.

And this is why relentless has had to smack me across the head repeatedly every time I alluded to the ending. For all my hatred of the middle of the arc, I absolutely love the way this ending wraps the plot up.
In particular, I like how they intentionally dropped the OP in order to make room for everything else. As well as not spending half the flipping Ep (cough24cough) on the Sugou encounter. |

I'm glad that this anime is finally over! Although I wish Reki Kawahara would finish Sword Art Online and link it with Accel World.
Still, I wish Sugou was mind-rape by a certain vengeful Noumi’s ghost. (as Dusk Taker) Right now, I feel like I can laugh maniacally now that this nightmare is finished! |

Actually I'm pretty sure that even though they could choose to use their old SAO Avatar, they had to pick a race, and get the racial physical attributes. They just kept their size, shape, facial features, and stats. Asuna's hair is blue because the default Undine hair color is blue, and Asuna hasn't felt inclined to change it.
