About version for the short of Akemi Hayashi
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zkPkbg3MTr8 The one with different music (not Fruit basket opening), but still very good (probably better animation-wise). Any idea about the text of the song? |

Woland W there is a subbed version of the shorts from the fisrt season. The link to the torrent is on animesuki and they did translate the lyrics of the song.

Not sure if I'm allowed to ask this here, but anyone up for translating the whole bunch when they're all over? Or perhaps they're already licensed? (although it's still in fansub section). I am also guessing that there won't be much to translate, given how much actual dialogues are there. There are few shorts here that I wish I knew what they are saying.

Mwahahaha, Maeda Mahiro is awesome !
He did the key animation all by himself (54 cuts, 2000 drawings), and according to his official blog, the short was so flashy that it didn't pass the so-called "Pokemon test" (you know, the one about epilepsy). BTW, here's what the official poster could have looked like : I just love his drawing style and badass sense. Makoto Shinkai's short is very good too, with countless Ghibli references. |

I'm curious, how many people were working per short? Just 1 artist?
edit: Er. ok nm, was too good to be true. I saw the staff page on the website. If it was one artist, I would be amazed.. but with such a large staff per episode.. doesn't seem like anything special to me. |
