Hot Damn that was too good, the pacing was awesome and the build up was so worth it for this moment but seriusly I really do want eren titan form form to be skinless like the collosal titian.... and the hot ass titan!!
I was about throw my laptop to the floor when I saw the blood thinking Reiner died. Is it just me or does the titan remind anyone of Annie? The eyes, body type, everything.
How the hell did Reiner not die from that. He pretty much got squshed and blood came out and like a few people pointed out the steam and sizzy noise tell us that he too could be titan because how else would he escape that? All in all the ep was veryy good. But why would that female titan want Eren?

Well if the speculations are right and the female Titan is Annie who is supposed to be working for the military police. Then, they would want him dead before the Recon Corps use him to discover the secrets of titans.
I wonder if all top trainees were secretly injected with the drug from Eren's father.

1. Reiner goes after her and gets caught
2. She "squishes" him
3. He jumps out with zero wounds
4. she stares at her hand for a bit
5. Starts moving towards Eren
Good episode, and after re-watching key scenes three or four times, I'm feeling pretty confident in some of my predictions. FWIW, I haven't read a single post in this thread yet, but I'm copying and pasting my hypotheses from a different forum.
NOTE: I'm not a manga reader, so this is all just conjecture based on what we've seen in the anime. Still, I'm going to put it in a spoiler tag, just to be considerate of those who don't want to read what I think.

All the unique titans (female, colossal, armored, etc) are pretty much guaranteed to be human characters in titan form. Armin explains plenty of reasons why that's obvious for this female one, plus there's just common sense: unique enemies are always important in anime, and if you didn't expect Big Red and friends to be transformed humans from the moment we saw Eren transformed for the first time, I don't know what to say.
This is the first "female" titan we've seen, and she looks just like Annie. Like, for real, just like her. You know it's got to be her. Armin knows, too. When Jean was about to get owned, Armin started shouting about vengeance and stuff. Jean thought it seemed really weird and random -- "Now's not the time!" -- but Armin's smart. The first thing he shouted was "JEAN!!" to let Annie know it was Jean and make her hesitate. It worked. It's her.
Anyway, Annie is obvious, but I don't buy the idea that Reiner's smoking arm was due to Annie's titan blood. Sure, it's a reasonable explanation, but it seems like too obvious a bit of foreshadowing to be coincidental. It could be a red herring, but I doubt that. Plus, I just don't trust Reiner. Did you notice how Reiner thought Eren was supposed to be in the right flank, but he was mistaken? And did you also notice how the female titan came from the right flank, where Reiner thought Eren was? It could be a coincidence, since everybody seemed to have conflicting information as to where Eren was supposed to be (possibly because somebody high up is suspicious of his underlings and doesn't want them to know where Eren is), but go watch the scene where Reiner hookshots onto Annie's neck again. I've watched it, like, four times in a row now, lol. It does a little slow-mo deal as he flies up by her ear, and she shoots him this super suspicious grin, holds him up real close for a second, he winks and tilts his head in one direction, then she crushes him. Like, hardcore crushes. ...But then he's fine. Fine, because he's a titan, and he has superhuman regeneration abilities. I mean, look at him afterwards! He's f***ing pristine! It's all a ruse. My analysis of what we saw is that Reiner was signaling to Annie the direction that Armin figured out Eren would be in -- toward the center. Which is, of course, where she ran off to right afterwards. Annie and Reiner are both Teen Titans, and they're in cahoots, searching for Eren in order to carry out some kind of secret plan. Annie's the female titan, and Reiner, based on appearances, is probably the armored titan. They have a similar skull shape, and similar hair.
...And having said all that, if I turn out to be completely wrong, I'll be kind of embarrassed, lol.

Another possibilty is that the blood and steam could have been from the Female Titan. We know based on previous battles that those tend to linger for a bit them evaporate. I do agree though Reiner IIs fairly suspicious right now though.

That's a good point. If he had his hood on, she might've killed him before she realized it was him, but he took it off so she'd recognize him. Hence the sneaky grin on her face when she caught him

I also imagine that is the reason for the conflicting information. Erwin wanted to smoke out any rats that were hiding, so later on, when he receives the reports of the titans arrival, he will know it was from a group who had received that information; which should be very few, considering the massacre that the right flank ran into.

Yeah, it seems obvious that the conflicting information was given out intentionally to obfuscate Eren's true location. I'm bad at remembering names, though, so I didn't mention Erwin because I forgot what his name was
I'm gonna spoil this even though it's not really a spoiler or anything, could be seen as extremely vague spoiler for the arc at hand though.

I don't remember Armin mentioning the titan being a human in titan form in the manga, can anyone confirm this? That gives away a lot of info and takes some fun out of it, even though most people would already assume so. I just feel they're dropping too many hints in general, especially with the opening.
