My antivirus software is about to expire. McAfee annoys the crap out of me, the only reason I'm using it is because someone gave it to me for free. But I am planning to change it. I am undecided between Karpersky and Norton.

This is compares antivirus software: http://www.av-comparatives.org/. I find it kinda hard to understand but if you want in-depth comparisons, here's a purportedly third-party set of tests.

Anyways, I've never used Karpersky, but Norton, I think, does a really good job at finding and removing or quarantining viruses. As an alternative, I'd look into MalwareBytes. It's free and among my favorite.

Now for an amusing story. A friend of mine was using a pirated Windows 7 that came with McAfee. After installing the OS and booting it up, McAfee decided that it found a virus. Not exactly unexpected for pirated software. Unfortunately, one of the files it found was critical for McAfee to run. Well the antivirus died as a result. He's never really liked McAfee since.

I'd choose Karpersky over Norton any day for your 2 options.

For me:
Microsoft Security Essential
MalwareBytes
Firefox Ad-blocker
Dr. Delete or File Assassin

Used to use AVG but MSE takes up way less memory and processing. It's also pretty darn fast at scanning.

I believe that special relativity is actually a small problem for satellites looking at the earth because they have to adjust for the slight time difference.

Exactly: the faster you move the slower time passes for you. The effect is very subtle at our speeds but it is measurable, plenty of others have told you how it can be done even.

If you want a much better take on the subject than what I can give I'll direct you to the amazing works of Carl Sagan in the Cosmos mini-series, in particular the bit about precisely travelling at the speed of light.

<-- My current avatar is a chibi (the original character is not though).

Edit:
Yes, that's Lan.
Chibi (in anime and manga art) is the style of drawing characters in a deformed way, with big heads and small bodies.

Does anyone know what is the name of this flower? Bought it for my mum and I do not wish to be accused of being ignorant if she asks me about the flower.

Want to help you.. but I'm clueless. Why not just call the vendor and ask what you bought...?

Taste it.
If it tastes like strawberry, it might just be one. It's red too.

I'm in the UK, and I bought the flowers from a site in the country I want to send it to, so I can't taste it even if I want to. Sigh, looks like this question may remain unanswered.
