Import Review Websites?

I haven't found too many places that review import games. Most places have reviews that are just thinly disguised advertisements for products they're selling or for products they make a commission off of.

Where do you guys go to get your import review from, or are you all like me...take a wild stab in the dark and hope that you didn't just get screwed...

Usually, because I chat alot with friends who import games (and are alot more avid than me), I usually just talk to them. Of course, if you're importing japanese games, you should be able to read japanese reviews... atleast enough to find out how it scores. The truth is lots of imports arn't popular enough to warrent review sites.

Easy solution would be to post questions here... atleast for PC Bishoujo Games, there's alot of fans here...

Well...PC Bishojo games aren't typically what I'm looking for....like...at all.

I found one site here:

http://www.netjak.com

And they have reviews for some games, like Naruto on the GBA.

http://www.netjak.com/review.php/377

I like the site, but it doesn't cover everything, so I was looking for other good places for info.

Try gamefaqs.com. They usually have some discussions on the new import games. Another way is to check Gamespot Japan, but of course they are in japanese.

You are more likely to find reviews in japanese since few people actually play import games here in US. Yahoo.co.jp is a good starting point if you know the japanese name of the game.

I look at Famitsu.com to figure out what's out. Generally, if I can't figure out the name Babelfish works pretty decent. I also use gamefaqs to get help with the games once I have them, but the reviews by the people there suck ass.

It's always like "OMG! This game r00lz! The graphics are tiiiiight!", which obviously, doesn't tell me crap.

Basically I have outlets for finding and playing imports, I'm just looking for someone to help me sort through quality and garbage before I've Paypaled the guy on Ebay. Like for example...anyone played the Transformers PS2 game?

I don't like Insert Credit...especially that Tim Roberts guy. He's SO freaking arrogant it's unbelievable. After reading his third, "Oh, look at me, I lived in Japan!" article, I vowed never to visit that site again.
