Heh, the other day I was complaining on another forum that I wanted to see a poster with a Jaeger and Kaiju fighting.

Looking back at the trailer, it seems like monster tag-team is something that nobody expect to happen. It probably that before Cherno Alpha's incident, most battles happened in 1vs1 style.

Except that we often see Jaegers deployed in groups, like with Crimson Typhoon, Cherno Alpha and Coyote Tango being deployed together in the first trailers, or Gypsy Danger and Striker Eureka in this trailer. They likely are sent out with numbers on their side to combat as many Kaiju as possible. You do see in the Cherno Alpha sequence that Coyote Tango was rushing out to help it, but unfortunately didn't make it in time.

I don't believe Coyote Tango has been seen so far. The only Jaegers we have seen in battle are Gipsy Danger, Cherno Alpha, Crimson Typhoon, and Striker Eureka.

Tango is pretty much getting no attention at all.

It's only for a split second, but here's Coyote Tango running to Cherno Alpha's aid, right before that underwater Jaeger in this scene backstabs the latter.

I think it's more of a case of just bad luck but not exactly the bad luck I'm describing.

For example.

In Buffy the Vampire Slayer; the slayer, Buffy, by the time of this certain episode was very well experienced and had slayed hundreds of vampires including top-tier monsters. Yet here she is fighting a regular vampire on another regular night patrol who all of a sudden is able to overpower and badly injure her. Even she was shocked at this.

So according to the trailer, they were winning and beating back the Kaiju but then as time went on perhaps the Kaiju attacks started occuring more frequently and they started acting "smarter" and "adapting" and as a result are catching the Jaegers completely off guard.

I mean in some scenes those Kaiju are bigger than the Jaegers themselves!
