A nice episode that shows a different side to Shiraiyuki than her usual antics, she really does care about Kinji to sacrifice herself to protect him...

I agree with this statement; I've said before that I'm glad for once that an adaptation did not show the protagonist monologue. But Kinji's train of thoughts are...

In all fairness I can understand Kinji's lax attitude towards bodyguarding Shiraiyuki. Anybody who has done enough security sweeps for VIPs can tell you that 97% of the time absolutely nothing happens. But people still do their job because if the 3% DOES HAPPEN, you do not want it to be your fault.

Fate Stay Night first, then Nanoha. Considering that this author seems to be checking off the same list of items to include in his work as I do, I say its because he's just a fellow otaku.

See: Red Saber, AKA Jenne

Exactly, that's why I said 'sort of'

Didn't it start with Mai-Hime? I know it did for me...

If by Red Saber you mean the one in Fate/Extra, that's Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus, the Fifth Roman Emperor.

If you mean Red Saber by anyone else, stop goddamn confusing people, Kha.

Bilingual bonus.

Moreover our history is rich with enough famous people of both genders, heck we have had one of the most famous real life traps in history, to not have to pull a Saber. *glares at Kha*

Roland was the wielder of Durandal.

And, where else is Durandal associated with ice?

That I know. But in the context of HnA, I see it as some sort of codename.

Nanoha and Mai Hime series iirc. But it is in my opinion more a coincidence than anything else.

Well yeah...But what I mean is, it's never been an automatic association, like Excalibur being the strongest sword.

And Japan don't have a good track record for staying "true to the source." =p

Had me fooled when I first touched the Mai-Hime manga, then later when Nanoha A's came out I was even more convinced... Before I actually bothered to do proper research

Random

+ You know that confrontation between Kinji and Aria at the roof? That's the kind of interaction I would like to see more.

+ Also that conversation on the shore with Shirayuki.

+ Damn it Reki, stop tickling my silent moé nerve.

- That was one of the worst running scenes I have seen. I mean, the combination of low frame rate and that blur effect made me cringe.

Just re-read Vol. 3 and I really hope JC won't screw up Riko's return

I for one likes Reki's method of getting people to calm down.

I personally prefer Kinji's way of calming people down, like what he did to Aria in episode 5.

Wish Reki did that to Kinji instead.

Yes! Shirayuki did wear black in Miko outfit I would prefer none at all but that is asking too much I guess

Is it that hard for Shirayuki to say that she didnt buy that syrup or for Aria to clarify that she bought it?

Also Aria, when someone already explains the incident to you yet you still insist on proof,it is only fair for the other party to ask the same of you. Saying you doesnt inherit the outstanding trait of your ancestor and playing the victim role doesnt cut it.
Granted the teacher at school also warn them about the possible danger so maybe I should cut her some slacks here.

Reki, you are awesome with your indifference and your way of calming people down, plus you even have green hairs Pity that it is short though.

Finally, can we burn down the Hotogi down now, except for those in the sect with sanity intact? I just hated those kinds of family with a passion.

Yeah for Aria, a noble shouldn't brag about what she did.

"A noble does not show off her efforts. Because that's extremely unsightly. Even if her efforts are taken by someone else."
