As of right now, there is no known GNY-005 unit.

Fereshte uses a single GN Drive between all of their Gundams; the original drive once belonging to the GN-000 O Gundam.

Based on what we've seen in the anime, it seems he uncovered Alejandro's plans and not Aeolia's.

Hi, I'm new to the gundam series. I've watched Gundam Wing on Cartoon network a few years ago and remember liking it. I want to get back to it. At first I intended to watch Gundam Wing again (I only saw a few episodes originally and now I can remember it only barely), but I saw a few reviews claiming that the series was overrated and I should watch some 'newer' series.

Any recommendations then on where I should start my reintroduction to Gundam? Thanks!

The newest one is Gundam 00. But the series as a whole is incomplete. I would recommend Gundam Seed. I hear its very similar to the original series and was generally well received. I would skip Seed Destiny. Seems to take away more from the series than it adds.

I would stay away from Seed.

You might want to try 08ms Team, 0080 and 0083.
Z Gundam Movie Trilogy.
Gundam X.

If you like fantasy, you might want to try Turn A (this is my favorite Gundam Series, but its pretty hard to appreciate).

don't bother with Seed at all.

its G Gundam all the way.

You can't beat a Giant Gundam with Gundam-Head-Snakes coming out, and Card related Glowing Gundam WTF-hand attacks.

full of awesome sauce.

Ask a hundred and you will get a hundred responses. The fact of the matter is that most Gundam shows are created by different people, and have drastically different styles which attract different tastes. The only thing left is to poke your head into a show and see if you like it. Just about every recent Gundam show (except Gundam Seed Destiny) is geared towards new audiences which means you need no prior knowledge of the franchise to watch.

The following have been released (dubbed) into English:

Mobile Suit Gundam
Mobile Suit Gundam: The 8th MS Team
Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket
Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack
Mobile Suit Gundam F91
Mobile Fighter G Gundam
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing
Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny
SD Gundam Force (first season)

No, Gundam 00 is not dubbed yet. Though you can find English fansubs on Animesuki (along with the rest of the Gundam franchise).

If you're determined to get one or the other, Seed is definitely the better choice. It's a more compact and self-contained story, and Destiny is a direct sequel to Seed.

In Gundam Seed, how long did it take Freedom to reach Alaska?

After the show finished airing, I believe that they indicated that he used a Hohmann Transfer to get to Alaska, so it'd be around three days.

Ah, so they do it like they did it during the Apollo missions. Not having fuel considerations, I'd have expected Freedom to make better time than that.

Is Plant at a lagrange point?

PLANT itself is at the L5 Lagrange point, while Armory One is at L4. While Freedom effectively has unlimited power generation, it probably still relies on some sort of reaction mass for propulsion, so it makes sense to conserve as much as possible. This is even more of a concern given that Kira expected to have to fight at the end of his trip.

Admittedly, this is a bit of a retcon since the animation itself suggests that Freedom's trip only took a matter of a few hours.

I didnt quite get the ending of ep 50 of Gundam 00... I know the rest of the season is coming on October but since almost everyone died in the last battle, we will be watching a Gundam 00 with new characters? Or is it possible that Setsuna and the others didnt die?
