The idea is that while being a representative candidate is a high honor, being expelled is a huge disgrace. It's probably a self-regulating system. At least, that's what I was understanding from the LN thread.

The IS academy has a whole bunch of super powerful antigravity battle armor with energy shield that can make alien from Independent day jealous and super weapon that can defeat the all army from all over the world in a single day AND a energy blade that can slice through every thing.

Of course they have tons of budget,even through the above reason don't really connect...

It doesn't matter if Laura tried killing them or not. It was obvious, both by observations and IS warnings that her attacks was putting their lives at very high risk, and it is dubious to think that a direct strangling attack is sustained by the shield.

As explained by the the tournament subscription paper, those who do not have a partner will be randomly associated with another contestant without a partner either. Considering Laura and Houki, it is very likely that it is the result of it. Even Houki comment she ended up in the worst combination possible.

It's over, Charlotte won. She totally stole the episode once again. She's light years ahead of the other girls now, although considering how dense Ichika is, it doesn't really matter.

Lol @ at the transformation sequences. It'd be hilarious if Ichika got one of the same type, with close-ups of his butt and everything.

Ditto. Sadly, since Laura will face my Charlotte next week, I can't completely root for her. My love for Charlotte outweighs my burning hatred for Ichika. I still hope she'll get to make suffer a bit before being inevitably converted to Ichika-ism.

Agreed. I was fully expecting her to get expelled. I main even for anime logic that is pretty bad. She pretty much tried to kill them in front of an audience. Ichika was trying to save their lives and she still was trying to kill them. Any dojo, training camp, hell any place; your ass would be kicked out so fast all anyone would see would be a blur motion.

Charlotte is the best thing in this show. It's amazing how she's sneaking past everyone and none of them have a clue. She's utilizing both being a girl and a boy to maximum effect. I would be highly disappointed if she doesn't win.

I'd like to agree with you but given the nature of Houki's introduction of the episode of how Ichika and she were separated I'd still consider Houki the main heroine.

I love Charlotte but Houki seems the one Ichika clicks with.
