CLANNAD for PlayStation 3
Way back in 2005, Interchannel brought visual novel/love adventure Clannad to the PlayStation 2 in Japan. Clannad puts players in the shoes of Tomoya Okazaki, a male high school student. With graduation from senior high school only one year away, Tomoya will spend his final year in school in the close company of eleven heroines. And you can imagine how that will go...
Now, the title is destined for the PlayStation 3. While the PS2 edition improved upon its PC original by including voice acting, we're not yet sure what improvements are in store for this new version. But hey, we have a gallery linked below with screens, artwork and random bonus stuff, so check it out! And no, there's no NSFW images, as much as it may appear otherwise. Clannad is scheduled for release on April 21st in Japan. Source and image gallery: http://www.rpgfan.com/news/2011/1384.html

Is there a point in buying this version?
I mean, we all have played the other version like in PC or other platform, and after some years of this series' hype was over, they released a new version without advancing the story or anything |

Chances are those who are into anime (or in Visual Novel for this matter) and got PS3 already played the PC version.. And those who are NOT into VN and got PS3 won't even bother playing this game.
How many of us would waste roughly $300 just to get something that we already read/watched and not to mention the hype of this series is over already.. Just my humble opinion tho, I didn't mean to bash this game, what I want to hear is if there are some nice bonus, upgrade, or addition that might makes me think this game worth it

Though I doubt those who've already played it like you said probably wouldn't waste their time either unless there are upgrades.

I checked, $74.90. Even if I don't even have a PS3, I was excited to hear about it being only $30.
Apparently it'll be available as a PSN download. I haven't kept track of console releases of VNs. Is this normal? *Wishes that VN's would be available on Steam* |

As for your other question I don't really have a clue since I don't have a Japanese PSN account (which is the one thing I have to sort out since there's a few things on the Japanese store that I want to get). |
