Fairy Tail Zero [Manga]

Fairy Tail Zero by Mashima Hiro is a spin-off of the principle Fairy Tail manga focusing on Mavis and the origins of the Fairy Tail Guild.

A great first chapter. It was sad seeing Mavis past.

Heehee... the spelling's off

Anyway... Nice seeing Mavis' been from another guild before Fairy Tail. Also, that guild master's daughter kinda looked like Cana Can't wait for the next chapter!

I'll fix the spelling if you tell me what's wrong and what it should be.

Thank you, ninryu. I think I fixed all the wrong spots. If I missed one, someone let me know.

It was interesting, but I think Mashima should have spent a little more time with the Guild Master's daughter. It was hard to feel anything when she died.

Yeah, that's kinda of my only complaint with this opening chapter. It's like Mashima went 'Doesn't this all seem tragic?! Okay, moving on now...'

Well that's quite expected since It has only <25 pages compared to most first chapters that have about 40+ pages.

I got the opposite impression, that he didn't spend too much time on it because that wasn't the point of the chapter.

Maybe. It is the first chapter after all. I'm just saying that I think I should have felt more than I did when I was done reading it, especially considering that that was mostly what the chapter was about. I sort of just shrugged at what happened to Zeira and the guild.

But FT-Zero is all backstory anyway, so I'm expecting more emotional moments to happen as the story progresses. I'm still very interested to see the origins of FT.

Actually I think that rather to feel bad about Zeira, the scene is supposed to make you feel bad for Mavis who lost her just when she was able to make a friend.

I know, right? Such a stark contrast all of a sudden... and the other best part of this is that we kind of know how these seemingly nice people all become evil later or die eventually.

This is really going to be interesting. I wasn't expecting the cutesy Mavis to have THAT kind of past, which makes it really awesome.

I guess Hades, Zancrow, and the Council members aren't people.

Lol, but we know bad things happen to them in the end. The point is that we know how it'll end, but not everything in between and the other details... so it's actually rather interesting... and the best part is that the happy-go-lucky Mavis has such a tragic back-story...

It makes me question if anything will go well in this story and it makes me wonder how many battles she had to go through to become such an amazing fairy tactician?
