The mods have previously been... annoyed with SF talk. Keep it down; Angel Beats! will get a subforum when they think it warrants one, and not a moment beforehand.

I think that's the point of the multi-media aspect of the project. What with the Light Novel, two mangas... If you want to know more about particular characters, I have to think it can be found somewhere in all of the stuff, even if that character is not adequately explored in the main anime.

Yeah, but the Tenshi fanatics prob spend money on their fav character so it's a good thing for Key, PA Works etc to know.

So we can expect better made and a lot of Tenshi products hopefully.

Finally got down to watching Ep. 2!

To be honest, I seriously contemplated ignoring this series because of all the Haruhi hate it has generated, despite Angel Beats! only having 1 episode out at that time. However, I felt it wasn't grounds enough for me to ignore a series that has impressed me at first look, and well, the Haruhi hate seems to have died down here

As expected, it was a fairly good episode, with the mix of comedy and seriousness we saw in Ep. 1. Some random thoughts;

- Oyama is the worst. Teammate. Ever. And still he managed to survive to the pitfall, which is amazing given his forgetfulness.
- TK is awesome! Despite his sacrifice I can't help but laugh at his random Japanese phrases
- Anyone else found the part where Tenshi drops down into the burning Guild expressionlessly a little sad? I know I did...
- The scene with Otonashi climbing over Yuri was pretty sweet (in my opinion, anyway), and Yuri blushing was a HUGE bonus. Tsundere service, perhaps?
- ED was pretty cool, I liked it better than the OP

Also, regarding Yuri's past,

Spoiler for Yuri's past:

For those who missed the NND link on my previous post (video got taken down), here's the YouTube version:

With subs/karaoke from Mazui. The lyrics are quite fitting, especially for the reversed version.

The Tulip TV Poll

Props to all my Tenshi fans! I guess I have to grudgingly admit TK is pretty awesome too.

To the person that mentioned the 4-koma, is there any more that has been translated than the few pages by SmithSub? Or did you happen to read the Chinese?

TK and Tenshi are nearly tied in that poll now? wow Tenshi sure has lots of fans that helped her.

2 episodes in and there's more than 1k posts... subforum isn't so far now.

That's well done. I like the original better, but the reversed version is somewhat haunting.

Yeah, I read the 4-koma from the Chinese translation since I read Chinese translated manga quite often. I also like the way the author wrote for Little Busters too.

He's not quite Leeroy Jenkins level, though.

Tenshi surpassed TK!!! HOORAH FOR US TENSHI FANS! (I still think the op gave Tenshi a GIANT leverage)

Yuri doesn't stand a chance.

It really says a lot when the favourite characters of Angel Beats! watchers are the two that has the least lines out of all the rest

Plot? Who cares about the plot? There's a cute Magical Girl and a funny American!

[edit]

Well fuck me, it finally happened.

I knew a subforum would come sooner or later, which is why I refrained from posting.

What the... that poll is growing by the hundreds every hour, both sides must be employing scripts at this point.

This reminds me of www.clickclickclick.com a few years back, the thing degenerated into a hacking war with japan racking up billions of clicks.

Considering the poll, I'm surprised they didn't make a TK thread when they made the sub-forum.

Wat's so nice about TK?

A sub-forum so fast? Animesuki really responds fast to reasonable demands.

Well, having a thread for a character who so far hasn't done anything but speak Surprisingly Good English and perform a Heroic Sacrifice which was forgotten after two seconds, does seem a bit pointless, doesn't it?

Let's not forget the My Hovercraft Is Full Of Eels during the sacrifice .
