Phase 4 accurate times (from the beta forums):

Saturday, August 17, 2:00 a.m. to Monday, August 19, 2:00 a.m. (PDT)
Saturday, August 17, 9:00 a.m. to Monday, August 19, 9:00 a.m. (GMT)

However, users who fulfill any of the following requirements are eligible to participate starting from Friday, August 16, at 2:00 a.m. (PDT) / 9:00 a.m. (GMT):
- Played Version 1.0
- Legacy Campaign members
- Registered a Beta Test registration code by Tuesday, July 30, 2013 9:59 p.m. (PDT) / Wednesday, July 31, 2013 4:59 a.m. (GMT)
- Received a PlayStation 3 promotion code in the days before the start of Beta 4 testing

The Phase 3 client needs to be uninstalled; both the launcher and game data won't work with Phase 4 and beyond. You can get a new installer for Phase 4 and retail here:

http://gdl.square-enix.com/ffxiv/inst/ffxivsetup.exe

The download URL and file name is the same as before, but the file has been updated. The old setup file won't work and you'll get the old launcher version.

i only recently preordered the pc version and i got a registration code for beta with it, i tried going to the site it tells me http://sqex.to/zjh but i cant register my code since beta 4 isnt up yet, can someone plz tell me what to do now?
Should i use that link above me? or do i have to wait to register first? how do i find out if the code they gave me entitles me for early access?

Well ... I appear to be stuck. The product ID of the digitalriver game doesn't appear to be good until 27august (square enix claims the product code is invalid when I try to add it to my registered list of games).

Meanwhile I can log into my Square Enix account at the website just fine, but the game refuses to accept my square enix account and password (claims invalid).

Caught in a logic trap until the 27th?

i registered my code via psn downloaded 6gb worth then when i got to use my account it said server unresponding.
