Most Paramilitary Operations Officer are recruited from special forces but the P.O.O's that took down R were wild dogs, that were over confident and since they lost their discipline being under Hex's command they lost their edge.
Also their 4 snipers were only taken down since Bookman gave up their locations so they were sitting ducks. And Hex and 2 others managed to escape when the shtf so that says something on how good they are. |

It'll be like those youtube comments claiming which have harsher training/selection... Then someone would for without reason bring up SAS and Spetsnaz etc. etc....

If he doesn't, I'll blame it on his probably being twice their age. (In all seriousness, I have nothing against the SEALs).

Oh wow. I was totally half-jesting on how I envisioned this series climaxing back in the beginning of season two. I suppose I should have realized, however, this was inevitable. They've certainly laid out plenty of clues.
So, everything now makes sense. I'm hoping she sticks to her guns, even if it means the series ends with Jonah trudging off into the sunset along with an unseen silent promise that he won't accept it, and we-the audience-unsure what the future of the world in this series will face under the new paradigm. What I am really hoping doesn't happen is that Jonah changes Koko's mind, and she throws her life's work away and the show ends with a bunch of hugs and smiles with some fairy tale parable about the healing effects Jonah has had on her and how her plan is a crazy reaction to a messed up childhood and adolescence. It would just feel way too trite, if it does. I far prefer stories that just are, rather than stories that try to fix things. Also, talk about an anti-climactic battle between the SEALS and Koko's crew. While I've enjoyed this season for its progression of the story-something that was largely absent from season one, I have to say that the actual fighting was far more enjoyable in season one than season two.

Koko's plan for world peace is not going to work and probably the worst. Nothing short of having mind control over every single human or the extinction of the human race will bring about world peace. In fact she is destroying the one thing that increases world peace which is trade and communication between nations .
Her plan only makes sense if she uses it to stop a possible nuclear world war in the future. |

HOLY ****, that ending D0=!!! I figured that whatever it was that Koko was up to wouldn't be accepted by Jonah. Even before this arc, it's strange, but it seemed like the further Koko doted on Jonah, the more maniacal she became, if only in subtlety. That's why the moment I saw the bath scene, I knew that the plan she mentioned would be devastating. However, I only thought that devastation would be in regards to technology somehow, not as in people being killed as a direct result. Even though I was like "HOLY ****!" when Jonah pulled the gun on Koko, I wasn't surprised by his actions.
In a way, I kinda feel bad for Koko. It almost feels as if she had yandere tendencies as if her feelings revolved around Jonah, and no one else. She looked so happy(and, again, maniacal) when she was describing her grand plan, almost as if only to appease Jonah. I mean, I know she has her own reasons for enacting the Jour plan, but the way it was presented didn't really focus on her own objectives, but on Jonah. Man, I just suck at words, because now I'm being redundant, but I'm sure you get what I'm trying to say =0p.

Man, this series keeps finding ways to impress me. The first season I saw this show as a merely simply way to enjoy my time, but I find myself week after week now looking to this show as one of my favorites each week in a season with really good shows.
I love the poses and serious looks Koko gives in her speech at the end. Final boss material indeed. This is probably going to be a tragic series.

Remember, Camp No is a black site. Like CIA safehouses, its primary protection is secrecy, which can be compromised by having too many guards. Also, note how fast Nught Nine appeared on site. They were definitely there before the abduction took place, but Plame wanted them to track Koko's team and deal with them while they made their escape: notice how they weren't expecting a SEAL platoon to suddenly ghost in and ambush them. Also, I can't be certain, but I think this is one of the few times in anime when a SEAL platoon hasn't been cannon fodder of the week.
