I love this series.

Also, this ep broke the "no extra people anywhere" streak. Kind of disappointing in that sense.
If you are talking about the library scene then I don`t think it`s exactly true. They where only shadows that didn`t have a character design. If they don`t have a face then it doesn`t count.

Cool

........

I'm really impressed. All the characters are unique and compelling, refreshing, even. Just when I think. "Well, they can't top that in quirky/kinky/cute/appeal... WHOAH THERE!"

I'm still not sure what the heck this show is really about, but dang does it know how to raise the tension. Tore is the new moe and I guess Perverted Heroic Samaritan is the new gold standard for harem leads.

"Bakemonogatari... is super interesting."

Really? Well, we know that Kanbaru is grudge lesbian, love to read Yaoi magazine, love cute kid, playful, flirting, lecherous and (may be) bisexual. What would we suppose to know more about her?

And who is Ragiko?

As far as I know, Fridays 2300 hours, Japan time - which is why the RAWs come out so fast.

The stripping scene...on second thoughts, the girl seemed desperate for Koyomi-oniichan to help solve her problem so it would make sense that she stripped on her own accord - but the bloomers were provided by Kanbaru? There's still a missing link to that sudden twist... :| I just want to know the story!

I'm wondering about those headaches that both Kanbaru and Hanekawa got in this episode. I really can't imagine those not being related to the oddity this time around. The first thing that pops into my head is that Nadeko was nearby and possibly saw them being lovey-dovey with Araragi. I doubt it's simple jealousy though, since that's a) kind of boring and b) far too reminiscent of the last arc. Given how Nadeko acted in the end ("I hate this body") I'm thinking it has something to do with puberty/emerging sexuality. This also gives her a reason to be younger story-wise, and fits into the "metaphor for adolescence" schematic that the rest of the arcs seem to.

Also, gg's translation had Sengoku refer to a "Bara-chan" when I thought it was pretty clearly supposed to be "Rara-chan" referring of course to one of the Araragi sisters. Rara/Lala is a pretty cute way of dealing with an odd name like that... Or am I just mishearing it?

Finished the episode. I really hard at that gaijin-4koma reference. Other than that it was a pretty standard set-up episodes. It felt a lot like Episode 1. There was a lot of mystery and the paranormal stuff back.

Shame on Araragi for not backing off at picking the forbidden fruit, but luckily Hanekawa was just joking with him. The scenes with her show some obvious foreshadowing towards her arc.

There's a lot of mysteries left, I wonder how they will cover them in just an episode. The missing scene from Sengoku's past with Araragi, why Kanbaru and Hanekawa both have headaches, what Sengoku's curse is, etc.

The thing I didn't like was the lack of Senjougahara, but I guess that's my own personal preference. The other characters made it pretty interesting nonetheless.

Makes her possibly the most unique Anime Heroine in recent memory.

Like fine wine. You don't gulp it down all the time. You sip and savor it sparingly enjoying every last drop.

The hell was up with Hanekawa's uniform constantly changing sleeve lengths?

Animation mistake, SHAFT being SHAFT, or actually important?

... funnily enough, I didn't notice that until you pointed it out, yet I did notice the scenes where Kanbaru seemed to be missing her bandages. I guess the animator on those scenes forgot it was summer uniforms. :\
