wow- this show is pretty sweet. I'm surprised it isn't more popular. I must say, though, sometimes the characters faces look a little screwed up (only complaint)

Yeah, I'm also surprised that it isnt more popular... it may have been at it's time, but right now not many people talk about it....

Episode 23 was awesome... I'm glad onigiri is back to work

One question... was the policy in talking about new episodes without spoiler tags... how long should we wait before discussing without spoiler tags?

That's the one thing I'm not sure on. However, not everyone will be up to date on any one series, but they may still want to know what others have to say. I think just to be safe...use them. That's my take on it.

Beware... Some XDCC bots will ban download/leecher bots if that's that you're using.

I watched the first ep of shadow skill, then stopped when they started animating the fights with 2 frames of the actual action and 12 frames of showing kanji letters.

I'd say give it another chance. Yea...the martial arts language sequences are..."unique" but that's only when they use it. Don't let 3-5 seconds of kanji kill the 20 something minutes of story for you.

In later episodes... the kanji sequences are not as abundant... so definitely dont let that stop you from watching this

Ep 24

Ok...just saw this and it doesn't exactly tell you much. Like Shadow Skill fashion it's another cliffhanger type ending.
Spoiler:
With 2 eps left it makes me wonder if they'll close some things up, leave them open for a possible 2nd season, or just leave them open for speculation.

I'm gonna be sad when it's finally done. Can't say that Shadow Skill is one of my favorites, but I do experience a moment of glee when a new release is put out.

The animation is old-school in style and fits the series pretty well. A 2nd season would be great as there's quite a big world out there to be explored.

So Shadow Skill is finally completed!

It was a great series,im definetly glad i stayed with this one, regardless of how long it took to see all of it.Thank you R-B and Onigiri for doing this series. I wont tell anyone how it ends, just watch for yourself, its a pretty sweet ep.

Now that thats finished next on my wish list has got to be Condor Hero for completion.Im willing to wait but i get sad when i dont have a new fix.

ah yes this was great though not as great as the movie and the OVA's the animation on those is top notch and almost no anime can compete now a days, i really liked this serie because i was a big fan of the movie and the OVA's and after looking past the crappy animation(at times) i found this anime to be very pleasing

It's a good series, I love it. Lots of character development, excellent fight scenes (some of the best) and above all... it's fun to watch.

Here are a couple of clues to help you in the future.
  • Use the "search" feature, it's not that difficult to search for "Shadow Skill" (better yet, use "Advanced Search" and select "Search Titles Only").
  • Read the stickies, especially this one, Series Discussion Index (found in this very forum)
