A decent episode, little too much flashback material.

If Konan knew Madara was coming, why not just burn the bodies?

And hey, it's the Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth series! Or at least something very similar.

Akatsuki's on the move again..
Nagato's Rinnegan was the main topic this time.
Madara vs Konan was interesting to watch.
It was more a psychological warfare that actual fighting.

I just realized how long it's been since we had an omake at the end of an episode. I hope we get a lot more from this series.

I think because she thinks the Rinnegan is the Rain's national treasure; she doesn't want to destroy it if she can keep it.

Moses Konan knows what she's doing...but yeah, the flashbacks got stretched a bit too much, particularly the whole Naruto/Nagato convo. Urge to skip...rising...! Still, the first part was really nice, and we ended up with yet another cliffhanger.

It looked like it was to advertise the New Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth series that is taking Bleach's time slot in a few weeks. The art style was exactly the same. The manga version of it is hilarious, so I'm really looking forward to it.

As for the episode itself, it was a bit slow since we had maybe 3 attacks go off total, but I like flashbacks, even if we'd had a bit too many of them lately, lol. I'm assuming some of those flashbacks were manga, but then we had some anime flashbacks added in, and the result was we got a flashback-infused episode, which was right after Kisame's flashback episode. It's probably necessary though for pacing.

once again, filler flashbacks ruin a perfectly good episode... the show creators never learn their lesson. at least it hasn't really happened since the last sasuke and naruto reunion (which would have been extremely great, but was also totally ruined by flashbacks even more so than this episode). a new flashback is always welcome like jiriaya in that frog outfit, but filler flashbacks we've already seen... 10 seconds a piece for a reminder maybe, but that's it. also having to remind us implies that they think we're stupid with no memory. the original content of the show along with our memories of what happened in past eps should inspire the desired emotions. no need to beat a dead horse
