I think she doesn't plan to stay in Japan that long, just visiting to give lectures and things like that. However, upon meeting Okarin and his time machine she's very interested, and take a break to stay longer in order to experiment with it them both. And yeah, she's my favorite character too. The perfect example of the type of tsundere I like, not to mention being smart (and not just in the genius sense, but she's also witty especially when with Okarin)

Well when Okabe learns that he can't just simply try to run away with Mayuri, then he will probably resort to other tactics to see what effects they will have. Probably telling the lab members and see what they will do/say. Something that still confuses me is when Suzuha keeps saying that Makise Kurisu is a SERN spy.. If Suzuha was able to predict that SERN was going to make their move against the lab members that helped Okabe time leap. Then was she merely being too cautious around Kurisu when it was actually Moeka that was the SERN spy?

Suzuha was acting on knowledge she knew from her future, and not from what she knew at the present time; hence, she probably knows that in her future, Kurisu works for SERN, hence she comes back into the past thinking Kurisu has always worked for SERN.

Rintaro and Kurisu are basically the two most "complete" characters of the show - moreover, complete with a different public and private behaviours
they don't feel as "animeish" (stereotyped) as - say Feiris, or... "niche" as Mayuri or Moeka. it's only natural to feel simpalthy for them. they're not just "the most likeable" or "the most accomplished" they are "quite believable" for an anime. they alone would - indeed - suffice to justify a live adaptation. |

Mayuri though is a pretty standard airhead moe character, hardly anything niche about her and she's the least believable of the lot if taken out of the anime plain. Moeka, love or hate her, is actually a fairly refreshing take on the "stoic" type, but I can actually see her being adapted into a live adaptation and still work, as I think her type of character (poor at human interactions and relies on other method of communication) has been done before in some films, possibly sci-fi. Now Kurisu still has a touch of that anime tsundere in her to make her completely believable, but other than that she is easily adaptable to live action.
