Best game based on anime?

What is the best game based on anime in your book? To me would be Zone of Thr Enders 2nd Runner, great game, very hard to obtain though.

Well...I would definately have to say Xenosaga. Now, I am not quite sure either the anime came first or the game, but the game is thousand times better than the anime. Those of you who are not familiar with this game, look for it in the store where they should mark as the "best of PSX 2..."

I've played Xenosaga, pretty good, not much into RPGs though. Although I don't think theres an anime for it yet. There is one, but its just cutscenes from the game if I'm not mistaken.

I know somebody posted the cutscenes for Xenosaga online once but why does everyone mistake that for an anime?

Back on topic, I've never played it (want to though) but the Initial D arcade game was supposed to be really good.

Cannot name too many animes like this, but Tales of Eternia -the Animation was pretty good (as a anime based on a game) and Ghost in the Shell -the Game got pretty good reviews (as a game based on anime).

I haven't tried it yet, but the Naruto 2 on Gamecube should be a very cool fighting game!

What, no love for the Hameln no Violin Hiki/Violinist of Hameln game? Buuu~
The game does seem to be based more on the manga than the anime, but still...

ohhh yeah the ps2 gits is quite good
i dont like motoko's tron suit or some of the supe rmario jumping levels, but it quite a good game overall

i found .hack to be quite decent....but its the same game throughout and gets boring pretty quick

There aren't much games based on animes actually.
It's most likely an anime based on a game that might appear

You mean there aren't many games based on anime available in American NTSC and European PAL. check the short list on this thread--if you want to count back to the days to the NES/Famicom, there are many, many more.

I've played DBZ Budakai games, they suck horrubly for fighting games. Better stick with the SoulCalibur, Dead Or Alive, Guilty Gear, and Tekken series.
