Plot summary : The slice-of-life comedy is set in a countryside school with only five students total. The nearest bookstore is 20 minutes away by bicycle, a certain "Ju_p" magazine comes out on Wednesdays instead of Mondays, and the video rental store is 10 stations away.

Fifth-grade schoolgirl Hotaru Ichijō transfers from Tokyo to this school and readjusts to the slow life in the country. Her fellow schoolmates are first-year middle schoolgirl Natsumi, second-year middle schoolgirl Komari, first-grade schoolgirl Renge, and Komari's big brother Suguru in the third year of middle school.

Note : Atto launched the manga in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine in 2009.

No matter how many of these kinds of series come out, I will watch all of them. Having a series like this set in the boonies is a good way to set it apart, too. Cities and suburbia have their own charm, but the mostly natural feel of a setting like this can work some real magic.

Agreed ... and tbh it is one of the things that drew me personally to this particular offering. ^^
