Mikono's a really a sweet person in her own right. Hope the show goes takes a good direction with her. Of course, there was spoiler which I will not debate fruther and the reputations of two of the directors on the show... heh

Edit: oh dear, it seems episode 6 just gives us more questions than answers. Especially when it comes down to Mikono. Lots of Zess x Amata in the next episode preview, which should make some happy.

It actually looks like a fencer right down to the head design, which fits totally well with its theme.

- Amata has a lot more balls to him it seems. Saving Mikoto by slamming against Kagura then jumping off the tower.
- Shrade then cockblocks Kagura with some violin music.
- This episode is all about Shrade, including flashbacks to his quite bloody past resulting from his element power.
- Apparently Mikono has a body vs mind conflict going on: the former wants Kagura, her latter wants Amata (translations needed for clarity and confirmation)
- LOL, Andy got shafted out of gattai again, getting booted out of Vector Z before it picks up Amata
- ORGASMIC SENRITSU GATTAI! Shrade experiencing Aquarion's enlightening for the first time
- Aquarion Spada managed to literally whip (that sword can turn into a whip) Kagura's mech into submission, then is finished off by Moonlight Requiem finishing sword attack. Unfortunately, Shrade could not handle it...

Funny how in the day the waterfront is a futuristic version of Hong Kong but when the lights go up at night it looks just like 2005-2010 Hong Kong, complete with recongizable buildings.

mikono is most definetely silvia's reincarnation. that really bites. i just dislike her. but wow amata sure got some guts though. good job boy every one was expecting that you won't stand up to kagura and you did very well.

apparently according to kagura, sharde has the same scent as mikono. i think its safe to say that sharde is sirius's reincarnation. however for me i think it was very easy to identify that. i wonder why they didn't make mikono blonde as well. i don't remember if apollo ever said that sirius's scent is similar to silvia's in the previous series though.

Well I am familiar with the spanish "Espada" (the term used often in our native tagalog), hence why I got the connection to the name as soon as it was mentioned.

And some things just don't change even after 12,000 years. You can't fault EVOL for having nice cityview porn though

ahhh... interesting. Tagalog has a lot of Spanish loan words? I can never pick them out when I listen to it.

It is lovely animination and it is a lovely waterfront in life, but whenever I get a view that good of the harbor at night it usually means "work! you're not going home anytime soon." I'm sure that won't change, ever.

hmm... the creators are going to have to play a very careful game with Mikono to to create a geninune sense of innter conflict without making her annoying or really looking dumb. Which is important for the show as a whole since she is a main character and hence how she's written is a big part of the show's quality of writing.

So let's see... this episode showed us a lot.

Spoiler for Episode 6:

• A bunch of backstory on Shrade; he really had it rough with his abilities and he's easily had the bloodiest and roughest past of any of the cast (not even Mikono or Amata can compare to the hell he's lived through). It really goes a long way to explain why he locks himself away in his tower and why his personality is as it is...
• Shrade is a part of the gattai, his reaction to it is fun, but his body isn't able to handle the strain of the Aquarion's power. (We knew this from when his character was introduced, but damn does he become OP with amplification from Aquarion. Glass Cannon Shrade.)
• Mikono is torn between Kagura and Amata. This one is peculiar as she seems drawn towards Kagura, even after just one meeting, but she also likes Amata. She's having internal conflicts over her desires.
• More or less confirmation that Kagura is Apollo, Mikono is Sylvia. Their "instincts" are/were searching for one another. This roughly confirms that Amata is the Wings or Apollonius but that's still be seen.
• Amata shows that he has a pair... but the girl he likes is starting to waver/get confused.
• Kagura continues to confirm that he's totally enamored with Mikono... and gets his ass kicked because of it. Poor guy gets cock-blocked by a violin too. (The episode in general seems to suggest that Mykage is indeed after uniting Kagura with Mikono, while Fudo is against it.)
• New Aquarion Mode of Bad-Assery.

How the hell is Kagura supposed to even have a chance at winning over/interacting with Mikono when he gets his ass handed to him three ways from Sunday by every iteration of the Aquarion? She's going to have to act to make it at all possible unless Kagura gets a mech upgrade somewhere along the way. That said, I don't think I've forgotten anything. Episode preview doesn't really lend itself to saying much of anything, there will be some Amata and Zessica scenes (but previews are trolls). Supposedly, the next episode will be about the frog though...

So it's confirmed then? Or are we just assuming Kagura is Apollo? I need to know, who I'm shipping here-

Here's hoping that Amata will die in the end with Mikage and Kagura and Mikono will live. Because someone is going to die in the end--I can't see anything other than that, because the OS & OVA's ended with the main protag dying.

If Kagura is Apollo then Amata is either part of Apollo/Apollonious. Apollo was Apollonius. So it makes no sense that Kagura is just Apollo reincarnated but not Apollonious. They were the SAME PERSON. So Amata has to be part of Kagura or he's not and I still think he's part of Silvia...which means Amata will still probably die at the end of series Because Celiane's male half died

Not that I don't like him. I do... ...it's just someone has to die and I would prefer it if it's someone other than my favorite character in the series...that's all...

I have another theory about Mikono's reincarnation and it's not about her being Silvia! So read at your own risk. Even though this may sound completely crazy, I do think it makes (somewhat) sense. You heard it here first.

Spoiler for A Mikono reincarnation theory: the scent and the apology:

Interestingly Kagura said Shrade had the same kind of smell as Mikono (!). Mikono wanted to apologize to Kagura. She also feels nostalgic about him.

These were obviously hints at what their past lives were like.

Let's get these assumptions out of the way first.

- Amata is Solar Wings/Apollo/whateverihavenoidea.
- Zessica is probably Silvia/Celiane, and Mikono is NOT.
- Rather than being Toma previously, Mykage may be Sirius, who was particularly attracted to the 'angelic' life. Mykage also loves flowers apparently.
- Shrade is Otoha, see his music-related element powers.

Okay, let's take this idea further, assuming all of the above are correct one way or another.


Why would Mikono want to apologize to Apollo if she's Silvia?
As far as I can recall Silvia hasn't done anything wrong to feel the need to apologize to anyone in particular (?). Then who does feel the need to apologize?

If Shrade is not Sirius, how come do Mikono and Shrade share the same smell?
Otoha is a shadow angel and therefore it would make sense she shared the same smell with her fellow shadow angels.... like Futaba, Toma, etc.


So if Mykage is Sirius, then where is Toma? Also, would it make more sense if someone like Toma wanted to apologize to Apollo, rather than Silvia?


What I'm trying to say: Mikono is Toma.

If the above is correct then Kagura may be Apollo(nius) before he met Sylvia(Celiane), and his lover was Toma back then.

The love triangle with Amata and Zessica could also reflect the past of Toma/Apollonius/Celiane.

In any case, I would be interested in how Shrade and Mikono would interact. ..whether they act like Sirius/Silvia or as Otoha/Toma. ...and how Cayenne could fit into this puzzle.

I did think of Shrade as Otoha, but never did I think that Touma wanted to apologize to Apollonious...because he felt betrayed by him. He felt that Apolloinous wronged him when he fell in love with Celiane. So much that he tore his wings off for her.An act which Touma found unfathomable. Never was he "sorry" and he just wanted Apollonius to return to him and for them to make a baby--going by his is characterization in the OS. I can't see him being "sorry" for something he believed was a betrayal

Silvia also had hang-ups when she thought Sirus was the solar wing, She wanted to apologize for not being able to save him--she was guilty because he tore off his wings to save her. So Mikono wanting to apologize to Kagura makes sense in context. Shrade is probably Sirius if they have the same scent...

Touma was also a bit of a botanist, he was kidnapping humans so they could provide prana for the tree of life. That Mikage has a flower-- I think is a throwback to the OS. Because Sirus had prized roses but Touma also treasured the tree of life, which had all kinds of flowers on it. I think they want to screw with your head a bit so you'd be unsure whose who---so they gave him a blue rose as a nod it Sirius but he's not Sirius

Shrade is probably Sirus because except for the music, he's like Sirius in every other way. There is nothing saying that both halves of Celiane/Silivia have to belong to the same family and the OS says that they do not have to be born at the same time, and one half of her can be male


As for Amata, he's either part of Apollo/Apollonious/Apollon/Kagura or he's not. He could even be Scorpius....

Edit: But Scorpius shouldn't exist in the same timeline with Fudo Zen/Gen . because the OS implied that he was actually the 3rd pilot. Scorpius is an OVA only character

No, its not confirmed outright but its giving me that feeling. Kagura has shown, and continues to show, all the characteristics of Apollo and now, in this episode, Mikono finds herself drawn to him (which continues off from her powerful reaction in the last episode). The biggest screwball from this episode was Shrade smelling like Mikono to Kagura, so this may lead one to suspect that we have found Sylvia/Sirius (or some aspects of them). I can't really figure how else Shrade would smell like Mikono unless he has traces of the Shadow Angel past (Sirius and Sylvia both being halves)... or he's actually Sylvia. (Shrade x Kagura? But Kagura didn't have quite the same reaction towards Shrade as with Mikono, leading me to believe Shrade = Sirius.) Amata, on the other hand, hasn't really shown any characteristics of the past aside from his metaphorical Wings of Light. Mykage has all the vibes of being Touma with his flowers everywhere, and all those colors.

For once, the reincarnations may just be as clear cut as they are:
Kagura is Apollo/Apollonius without his wings.
Mikono is Sylvia.
Shrade is Sirius.
Amata is Apollonius' Lost Wings (maybe? This is how we can have two of them in one time line, no?)
Mykage is Touma

I'm still pretty sure this story is going to follow a pretty rudimentary path for its story unless they surprise me with Mikono's character somehow. Then again, I see two (well three) options for the direction of the story at this point (note, I'm brutally compressing the entire story into a sentence or two:
1.) Mikono runs away/is kidnapped by Kagura and/or someone on his side. Mikono bonds with Kagura but eventually delivers her apology (from this episode, she wants to apologize for *something*) and returns to Amata. "I'm sorry, I love you but I love him more!"
2.) Mikono and Amata, speaking of destiny and meetings, are actually talking to the wrong person in a way and/or misplacing their feelings. The destiny between them was that in meeting each other, they are able to meet the people that were their actual destinies/desires.
3.) Okada troll.

That said, I still believe that this is going to follow the formula of:
Boy meets girl.
Boy and girl fall in love.
Girl stolen for X time.
Boy saves girl.
Boy and girl save universe.
End.

i have noticed that when it comes to zessica there are a lot of flowers around her aswell. in the OP when she is introduced and when she fires the missles they turn in to flowers. not the roses kind but different variety kind like the tree of life.

Going by the OP, the final battle will be Kagura and Amata turning their hatred for each other in blossoming BL as represented by the giant flower explosion.

THE SOLAR WING WAS APOLLO. He wanted the person, he did not want to smex the mecha up..that's why he wanted to hurt Silvia in front of Apollo because he wanted "Apolloinous" to suffer the same feelings of loss that he did. That's why he asked Apollo if he could remember "their past love" He was in love with the person--er THE ANGEL-- who was reborn as Apollo...THE PERSON/ER--THE ANGEL Apollo was. Not the mecha


At the end he realized his wrong-doing thanks to "Silvia" doing that thing Mikono did in episode 4... inside that mecha when she touched their arms--but it still took some 25 episodes for this to happen. I don't believe that Touma/Mikage will see they're guilty of any wrong-doing until the END of EVOL...

Parallel universe remember? Also it is said the series Apollonius, Celiane and the Elements fought the Shadow Angels in ancient times. Something replicated with Deava.

In the OVA Scorpius was recorded in the book to have betrayed Apollonius. Because he and Celiane were destroying Atlandia. In the TV series Gen erased all entries about himself from the book as he is the third pilot. In any case both universes yielded Apollonius and Celiane destroying much of the world with too much of their passion. To Celiane's horror that she split her soul in a reincarnation.

Also it is implied OVA Apollo, Silvia and Reika created the TV series universe. As Silvia knew Apollo's name before meeting him and Reika cursed with misfortune, which OVA Reika wished as the price for her mistakes.

He's already smelled her, Andy, Mix, Sazanka, Cayenne, and dude who's name I have not yet heard (I don't think) all in the first episode and the only ones he's reacted to so far are: Shrade (their first meeting), Mikono (since their first meeting and very strongly), and Amata (for seemingly obvious reasons). He was chasing the vectors down this episode, trying to catch them, to *smell* if Mikono was hiding inside (catching Cayenne, he threw him away right after because Mikono wasn't there... unless I missed something somewhere, but I'm pretty sure that was what Kagura was doing (my stream was piss poor quality due to a lack luster connection when I watched it). After Cayenne, he went on to chase Andy and Zessica until they flew by the barn/shack thing in which Mikono was hiding). When he found her, he gave up caring about the others.

Smelling anything from Zessica/Andy/Mix/Cayenne/Sazanka/Dude at this point would be a bit of an oversight in the original episode. He called their smells interesting but had no real reaction like what he did the moment he found/smelled Mikono (or Shrade in this episode).

no, i think kagura smelled someone familiar among the 3 vectors that came out. hence he first smelled cayenne and then chased after zessica to get a closer smell. its possible he thought mikono was one of the pilots.

this is just a thought. Kagura while having the sniffing and looks of Apollo, he doesn't really have the same attitude. The way he acts concerning Mikono is more reminiscent of how Sirius was when he was trying to take Silvia from Daeva after he betrayed them. Silvia showed a lot of regret that she couldn't help her brother but refused to betray everyone like he did which could fit in line with Mikono wishing to apologize to Kagura. This makes me wonder if Kagura may actually be Sirius rather than Apollo.
