Sometimes I wonder how people even find their icons on some wallpaper -- too busy/cluttered. I often end up GIMPing a wallpaper to introduce a calm area where the icons can graze and feed in peace. Widescreen makes that easier... but building a good phone wallpaper takes a lot of browsing, searching, tweaking: many of web offerings are utterly useless for actual use.

Oh yeah, I have to do a lot of image-fuckery to ready a wallpaper for my phone, especially since Android scrolls the wallpaper when you change homescreens; the wallpaper size is 960x800, which is not even remotely standard.
The big problem is the Super AMOLED, though. I am basically prevented from using light-colored wallpapers because of the extreme battery drain when S-AMOLED displays white. This is a problem, because most of the attractive wallpapers have lots of bright colors. When I get some money I swear I'm getting an HTC Glacier/MT4G. The Vibrant rules in so many ways, but argh Samsung software lameness... and I really, really, really miss CyanogenMod.

So...I am deeply and wonderfully in love with my current Kai wallpaper...

The Kai wallpaper does look a little messy, but I like the Yasu one.
