With "you can choose mutliple characters" votes like these, I try to round it down to my top three, unless there's one character that's head and shoulders above the rest for me (which usually isn't the case). I liked all of the main characters - I liked all of the characters listed by name in the voting options - but three stood out for me the most.

So, I voted for Nanoha, Fate, and Jail Scaglietti.

Nanoha and Fate are just extremely cool heros. I like the chemistry between them, and their personalities, and the seriousness with which they approach the enemies and missions put before them. Their costumes are also gorgeous.

Jail Scaglietti is simply the best antagonist, imo, that the Nanoha series has ever had, with only Precia Testarossa even coming close. He added a lot of fun, spice, and pizazz to everything in Striker S. When he was on screen, you just knew that you were in for a good time.

erio is just too...... he doesn't have enough character.
if i were to rate the characters based on only StrikerS, then hayate does not fit the bill.
the rest are fine, but not good enough to vote for.

as far as jail spagetti is concerned, he is just a second rate bad guy with zero imagination, and a really bad name.

Honestly, the only character who managed to avoid annoying me in some way was Quattro, who had better somehow come back.

Before the finale started I would have voted for Jail, but he picked up one of the most epic Villain Balls ever. I mean, what kind of idiot sends two people to guard the ship on which your entire plan hinges? Everyone should have been on that thing, since there's nothing the Ground HQ can do once it can be annihilated from orbit, and there was absolutely no purpose on staying in that base. Furthermore, if you've got a way to reincarnate yourself, don't put all your sources of reincarnation in the same battle. Jail should have had dozens of dormant or undercover Numbers scattered throughout the known universe.

Quattro got owned, sure, but she was making do the best she could considering how much of a massive idiot Jail was for putting only her and Deici on the ship. In my opinion, she more or less took over the mantle of main villain once Jail proved too dumb to live.

So I vote other and wonder why there are no male characters other than Jail on the poll.

Just simply because I don't think anyone have a better outfit than her. Ok, maybe Fate but facts still go: Dresses on lolis are kawaii and should be implemented everywhere :3

Fate. If I only had a single vote it would have gone to her reflexively. However, as one could choose more than one character, I also selected Nanoha, whom is my second favourite - despite her indecisive reaction to, and uncertain reciprocation of Fate's feelings.

I am unsurprised Fate leads in the poll; interesting character, pitiful origins (effective genetic experiment), lonely childhood, unconventional upbringing and subsequent alienation from peers, sheer raw magical power greater than even Nanoha, and an enduring and undeniable infatuation with Nanoha - to whatever ends that may be in part speculated, and in part very obviously suggested. All very endearing qualities for most, I think.
