Actually I like anime Misaka a lot . in the manga she is like a male and she is definitely stronger than most of the men. in the anime I can feel " so she is a female" feeling

Taking a quote from TDKR: "It's the slow knife, the knife that takes its time, the knife that waits years without forgetting, then slips quietly between bones. That's the knife that cuts deepest."

Man. I did not expect the adaption to be this big a hit for me. I'm loving the animation, music, the VAs... I'm just hoping it will keep itself going like this. I'm in a desperate need to get the OST.

My bad. I hardly even post on this site anymore. I saw it on one of gg's blog posts - I had no idea if people had seen it already or not.
Still scary as hell how it fits the timing of the verses so perfectly.

As for "hysterical fit", I must have missed something. When did Eren insult his friends in the anime? As for the faulty engineering and perplexing misunderstandings between Mikasa and Eren, I put it down to not-very-well-thought-out writing. But, heck, those are just minor nitpicks in a page-turner as addictive as this. Delusional Mikasa is delusional. It's not hard to understand why Eren would be so annoyed with her. Imagine having a killjoy like her hanging around you 24/7. I'm pretty sure it would make many a teenage boy flip too (literally and figuratively, and in every sense of the word). |

I personally also thought it was weird that it wasn't translated as "Aaron". But the fansubbers probably based it off of the manga scanlators' translations, which tend to be more literal in their interpretations of character names. A lot of the time vague names that aren't explicitly western tend to be straight-up romanization of the Japanese text.
I don't get why people are so hung-up on the relationship between Mikasa and Eren. For one thing, this isn't a romance, though everyone is obviously trying to make it one. For another, they're both traumatized kids who threw themselves into a haphazard military organization in the hope of being able to fight against an overwhelming force. Sure, Mikasa is really clingy, but considering that Eren's her only remaining family (the father DOES NOT count at this point, since he's nowhere to be found), I would EXPECT her to be like that. Eren is (let's be honest here) hellbent on a suicidal mission. If she wasn't trying to be concerned and controlling (all in all more like an overprotective mother or older sister than a girlfriend), whether or not she actually cared about Eren would be called into question. As is, it fits her character and her motivations for joining the military perfectly. Not sure what to think about Eren. He flips back and forth between crazy, determined, and tearful a lot, but frankly I can only pin it down to him being unable to reconcile both the hatred and utter terror he feels for the giants. Or Titans. Or.... EOTENA. Whatever the hell you wanna call 'em.
