I'd pretty much forgotten this was due out this month.... and yeah, this series is pretty much fanservice (ecchi/combat) from front to back anymore. Frankly, can hardly spot the romance or coming-of-age moments in between them.

But Ken seems to have hit the sweet spot of sustainable marketability... so it goes.

Fanservice in terms of ecchi is actually pretty low in this one. They spent enough time with the gate story and that suits me just fine =)

I'm still sad that they decided to skip the entire festival arc, but this season's OVA is sitting well with me so far.
Little fanservice and lots of action. Just the way I like it.

Does anyone have any idea when the next one comes out?

Third episode will be released in May, and the last in August. Quite a lot wait it'll be for the last episode.

Well that because Vol 29 that will be released on February of next year won't come with one of the 4 OVA's. But there is some rumours that it may come with an extra OVA with Yue chapters on Ariadne (those were supposed to be cut but maybe they will make into another OVA).

I wonder in what arc does this ova will end. . Considering the story in the manga right now, it just don't feel right to stop after Negi beat Rakan. There's still so much to do, and also, that senate looks pretty important to miss.

Actually the defeat of Rakan is a good spot to end, since it leaves the rest of the arc maybe to be done in a movie form?

I dunno why, but I feel that they're going to skip so many important points from the manga after I looked at the trailer

I hope that some important moments will still get aired in the ova ;_;

At least adult Koutarou and Negi looks cool.
