Exactly like the last guy!? Not only can he fight, he LIKES to fight obviously. He wants to have fun with Hakuoro - he anticipated things to some extent. The guy has a brain. He also has real presence. He's only had about 2 minutes of screen time.

PS I don't know what'll be happening with this guy going forwards. That's just my impression from this ep.

Still, though, Aruruu is only on top of Mukuru. Mukuru might be invincible, but not Aruruu. If archers or a fire occurs, Aruruu might be in trouble being on top and exposed, with no fighting skills. I wish someone would teach her, so she can defend herself, instead of completely rely on Mukuru.

I think it might be more like Mukuru is mearly handicapped in battle due to Aruruu's presence.

Heh. In D&D you can use your mount as a shield basically. You can also negate hits to your mount with your Ride skill. This leads to the "horse ninja trick" where you redirect attacks to your mount and then negate them. I imagine Aruruu having that skill.

Who here thinks of Eruru and Aruru as a weakness in batle for Hakuoro? If the enemy knew about it, it doesnt boude well for Hakuoro. I'm hoping nothing bad happens to them.

Well.., another good episode in my eyes; there realy isn't many negative aspects to it since it clearly continues with the good pacing of the previous ones.
Again, introducing to us a new antagonist and more good development on behalf of the main characters.

This episodes focused more on Hakuoro's war skills, and clearly when we come to the end of it.., it realy shows us that there is clearly something superior about him.., its as if he was born to command and devise tactics; for apart having no memories of his past.., all of this just seems so natural to him..

But never the less, what was more important in this episode was to me, the parts which involved Eruruu..
Again in the first parts we see her sad and alone as Hakuoro still is un-aware of her feelings towards him and is more and more beeing focused on the war.

And when he even dares to use the mixture to create the explosion, its Eruruu who tries and disuade him.., but to no avail..

Still.., I belive this triggered something in her at that moment.., she probably realised that there was no stopping Hakuoro so, she decided to go along with him, as in to see what where the reasons why he beeing so "swallowed" by this phenomenon..
To know what war was truly about.. and all its implications.

Thus I belive we will be seeing Aru-chan and Eruruu in the battlefields more often in the next episodes..

In the end we also had the chance to see small parts in development of Benawi aswell, for as in, at this moment he acts as the 2nd in Command to Hakuoro; altough it was already mencioned in the previous episode.., during this one we realy see that Benawi takes a huge responasibilty in the war.

As for the rest.., the battle scenes where pretty much aswell delivered to us in the way which the previous ones where..; way this which somehow is always makes us feel alot of tension and realy anticipation towards the outcome.
If the following ones continue to be as such, I'm pretty sure we can expect more great battles on Uta-mono

Now regarding the new antagonist :

I have to dissagree on this.., clearly Yue is NOTHING like Inkara.., personality-wise or even battle-wise..
Yue clearly was intrigued by Hakuoro when his scouts told him the report in which they refered to Hakuoro as dumb, etc for having recieved them with such curtesy.., Yue immediatly saw ahead of this and thought to himself regarding Hakuoro.., there is more then meets the eye to this person.

Also, much like kari-no-sugata previously said.., he definitly has a Presence, his appearence towards Hakuoro in the end was realy great to watch..

Yue is that kind of character that likes to fight a worthy oponent I belive.., also taking from his old age, he clearly has been arround to know a few things, so needless to say.., he definitly has a manipulative mind aswell.

I am looking forward for more development on him.., I realy liked his character look aswell, that ojiisan-look is great for villans

In the end the conclusion we can take from this episode is that..., this is just the begining of another step in Hakuoro's path.., clearly he will eventualy defeat Yue and take hold of his lands.. thus expanding his country.. to witch..
Sooner or later someone More powerfull will enter the picture..

Someone mencioned previously that the outcome of this could be the two major country's batteling for a unification.., things might change a bit during the course of the story.., but clearly in the end there the possibility of all of this we will see some sort of unification regarding all the lands.., thus putting an end to war.

Now for the next episode : Karuka !! I have a feeling she will be a amazing character

Perhaps,.. but with against an army of ten times stronger, and enemy lands three times larger, an tough path to walk it will. ...not for Hakuoro alone, but for his people as well. Best of all, from this episode, it appears that Eruruu and Aruruu will help Hakuoro through this path.

Take that big breasted character within the next episode preview for example. Should she ever do join up as an fighter for Hakuoro, I would like like to see her riding around on Mukuru while tearing shit up with her sword,.. but... it's just that,.. with such power between her legs,.. should it make her happy, then it's all over. ...for Mukuru that is. So sad. ...not that I wouldn't want to see that that is.

But Mukkur is also not a dumb animal. I'm sure Mukkur can sense when Aruruw is in danger and get out of there really quickly. I'm not saying that Mukkur+Aruruw can take on a whole army, but they should be able to do fine in battle.

Better, non-flat "bosses" will come (like for instance in episode 11). Trying to draw conclusive conclusions about someone's personality when they've only appeared for like a few minutes is generally not a good idea. Furthermore, Niwe is not exactly like the last guy. Notice how he takes fighting to be almost a perverted pleasure? Notice the title that everyone addresses him by? Notice how he wants people to entertain him by fighting with him? Notice how, while the entire scene is ablaze, his only concerns were to fight Hakuoro with that maniacal glea of his? The way the words flow out of his mouth signifies that something isn't quite right up there...

i liked this one i understand why Hakuoro wanted to hide the horrors of war from Aruruu and Eruruu. They are his family and you can spare your family that kind of thing you would do it. however i do understand where the sisters are coming from you depend on your family in hard times. I think Eruruu would be a good addition to the council she seems level minded and can advise on whats b3st for the people. I think its better for them to be involved then to keep them in dark and Hakuoro becoming more distant from them.

I noticed some talked about weather Aruruu should be in battle with Mukuru i dont think its a great idea it would be very easy for her to get picked off by an arrow or if she fell of in the middle of battle. Leaving Mukuru as a bodyguard would be more suitable i couldnt think of a better bodyguard for her.

As for the taboo potion that was used its obvious it was an explosive compound and im sure everyone can understand why it was taboo. Hakuoro used a brilliant yet old tatic to win destroying the enemies supply line is a great way to get an enemy to withdraw that is one of the set backs to having a large army you have to feed them all. The question is this, Even though its taboo does the need to win the battle outway the need to keep some weapons from being used (did he make the right choice?) you can compare this to the U.S dropping the Atom bomb on Japan propelling us into the Atomic age.

Also i dont remember his name but the king of the nation that invaded im glad he isnt a some pussy ass kind he can really fight im looking forward to the rematch.

well its not the same thing as the united states dropping the atomic bomb on japan. in utaware, hakuoro blew up his own land which had previously been vacated of the people that were there, excluding the soldiers. the united states dropped it in 2 major cities in japan, where there were plenty of civilians.

Not so much idiotic as elliciting a, "Poor Oboro"

Or reminds me of something that was cut from the game, where Yuzuha tries to come up with a nickname for her brother and gets, "Boro-Boro"

I like when Eruruu "confronted" Hakuoro.. I understood what she meant of wanting the family to share their pains and joys, and not keeping what he was going to do from them. This anime is moving bit by little bit. Tho I was really truly honestly expecting her to say something like: because I love you. Which kinda got me

About that CGI, looks like it backfired in this episode. Pyro effects at the end were nice tho. Anyhow sorry for the late post
