well ive been using brushes for a while and just wanted to try something new with filters i cant smudge even if my life depended on it maybe i should learn :3

Oh, be sure to take your time. Rushing things up is probably the worst you can do while vectoring/tracing.

update! well the shiori sig that riker made inspired me to try and figure out how he actually did it ~ with determination (erm yea ) i managed to put together something that kinda resembled riker's technique ^__^



what do you guys think?

Hm, the sequence is so short (and therefore annoying repetitve) that it maybe looks better without animation ( you asked what we think... so )

meh im fine with constructive criticisms and yea i know what you mean ~ heck im still in "prototype phase" riker is being evil and wont tell me his secret technique lolol >.<

well on the plus side i happy that i dont see the "merge" line between the 2 pics ~ it happens with bad quality >.<

update on my vector!



well for a first one i think it looks okey ~ a bit dodgy here and ther but nothing i cant tweek ^__^ i guess i should get my shading colours out soon

13.2KB is excellent. it is large and brightly colored and doesnt look pixelated.

so photoshop is your new anti-drug? w

i need to learn to vector trace but i was doing it with flash. u use Photoshop to do it?

@Potatochobit,

you can use every graphics tool, that supports vector graphics and spline/bezier lines. I for example made one in 3ds Max 7 (which is admittedly not a very common tool for that task).

So, you worked out the base colors first to work on the shadows later; Hmmm, pretty interesting.

I also see you got the eyes right. told you it wasn't so difficult.

i duno about anti drug but more of a suppressant

and yea vectoring can be quite fun and also easy if you can understand the logic behind it ~
here is a good tutorial (thx to daniel E for it in the first place )

yea but i think i picked some easy eyes to vector first tho
and just putting in all the base colours then adding shading would be easier imo ~ less room for errors ^_^
