You mentioned Engrish and there wasn't really any in the video, which is why I was confused.

There's a video that I can't find anymore because youtube removed it that showed Mamio and Ayachii trying to communicate with English. It was pretty looooooooool.

Does it help if I say I liked her as Perserte in the Polyphonica series and, as corny as Rosario+Vampire is, I actually like Moka? Oh, and there's Utau from Shugo Chara!

I also have the DVD set of her live at the Saitama Super Arena. She appears, to me, to have a very engaging stage presence.

Well, hmm. I don't know if I explained it here before because I get places where I talk about seiyuu mixed up.

If you actually like her as a voice actress, then yay. I've only talked to one person who's done this that actually explained a bit why. Kind of hard to if you don't know a bit of the language. The funny thing is that said person actually enjoys her animegoe voice, which just grates my ears. ^^;

Nana has a very big stage presence.... in the anison world.

I watched last year's kouhaku for Nana. Her singing was great, definitely better than her first time singing the song on Music Japan. Just compared to most of the other people, who I've never really heard of before, she seemed to lack something. And I'm not the only Nana fan who thought this way. :x

Animegoe = anime-voice. Mean way to describe high pitched/childish voices.

Anison = anime song. So me saying anison world is basically other people who sing anison. Cue Animelo.

When I said I was 'guilty' of the NanaFate thing you described, I should have clarified that with, "at one time." That's not something I swear by or anything like that. Fate is one of my favorite characters, and it's fun to get wrapped up in favorite characters, and Fate's seiyuu happens sing songs that I like, so... And I forgot to mention that I also happen to think that Nana is really pretty to look at.

She does deserve some credit, I think, for being the first seiyuu to have an album hit #1 on the charts. And Innocent Starter made top 10 at one point. So it seems she broke some ground with anisons (if I can trust the wiki info). Does Ultimate Diamond have any anime music on it?

To be honest, I'm still in the early stages of getting familiar with Japanese singers. I'm not even going to try to come up with others I've seen/heard off the top of my head, because they are so few. Well, Tamura Yukari is one, so there's that.

zzz Oricon sales are down, but otaku still buy. The only thing scarier than otaku are female fan girls wtf boybands.

Well, now there's a piece of nostalgia for me. Slayers was like the second or third series I watched when I started getting "serious" about anime in the mid 90s (good old VHS days), and I thought Lina Inverse was fabulous. I wasn't even aware Hayashibara had a successful singing career. Guess I need to do some looking around.

Everyone must have know this by now. Silent Bible ranked 3rd in the weekly charts and sold 50,646 copies. Just the default reporting...

Silent Bible on MusicJapan is 'leaked' at the usual places. This must be Nana-chan's best MusicJapan live, honestly. It is identical to the CD version, like proper identical. I wonder did she have a good night sleep that day . I didn't expect Silent Bible MusicJapan to go very well because of Phantom Minds...

Brave Pheonix on the full version of Anison Special was really good. But she sounds somwhat tired with Super Generation. Oh god, the otawotas never fail to amaze me. Super Generation wotaing is amazing, Nana looked really relax with this song. She never does any good lives without her wotas...or do the wotas actually increase the enjoyment of the live?

Next Anison Special they're going to invite Yukarin right? Even Hocchan is on it...Looks like they did autotune her concerts. But but but Vanilla Salt's dance was SO cute.
