Softsub questions.

Hi.
How do you determine whether a video have softsubs or hard? And if they're softsubs, how do you take them out? I have these rmvb's (from Chinese subbers, Sketchbook series) and I wanna take them and use them on these mkv's that I recently acquired that doesn't have my prefered subs.
Thanks for any help!

Generally speaking, the subtitle in a softsub can toggle on/off. For softsub avi, the subtitles are in a separate file while softsub ogm and mkv have the video and subtitle in the same file. But for rmvb, I think it's the same as avi and have a separate subtitle file if it is softsub.

You can use CCCP Insurgent's tools -> media info to scan the file for softsub streams. I'm not sure if rmvb can have internal softsubs though.

Thank you, I checked, and too bad it doesn't have sofsubs.
