OP - It's good that they show a lot of the series's characters, but both the song and visuals were unimpressive. Fanservice was even more abundant here than Rosario+Vampire's OP...
ED - Like the OP, unimpressive. Lots of Lala service for Lala fans though...

Has always found the manga decent, so it won't hurt to watch the anime, even if it won't provide anything above average.

The voices for all of the characters turned out very well, so I'm happy there.
Animation was decent, not too bad or too good.

Because of the way this manga/series is, I personally don't care if they follow the manga or not, since it really doesn't matter that much anyways.
For the first episode, basic average stuff, not much to say. Kept my attention, and way better than Rosario+Vampire could be in 100 years.

Oh, and my preference in both manga and anime is Haruna>Lala
That's why I hope for Haruna x Rito. Though I wonder how far the anime plans to go...

It's airing on the satellite channel BS-i exactly three weeks later (starting 24 April), so I imagine that is when the 16:9 version will arrive.

Didn't captivate me as much as the manga did (for a while), but looks competent and entertaining. I like the way they are going tight on the framing (I mean in addition to the 4:3). Disorienting but strong.

Like Midonin, I liked the VAs. I'm a huge Yahagi Sayuri fan and she was right there, I thought. Interesting to hear Yoshino Hiroyuki (Miyokichi in true tears) as the lead's friend...again. Watanabe Akeno as Rito was a trifle energetic, but that's the character.

I'm with serenade_beta on the comparison with Rosario+Vampire: I didn't run screaming from the first ep on this one, at any rate.

Enjoyed both OP and ED. I thought the ED was a neat trick, just floating those balloons over still pix.

I already own the manga myself so I don't really have a need to continue to watching this series though, unfortunately. It's got some fairly interesting artwork, but none comes close to the originals from Yabuki Kentaro...

I'm actually glad they did that if they didn't they likely would have gone with the Love Hina/Negima route which is tone down the fanservice big time. At least with the smog effect they can release without it in the DVD release.

Well, I've heard worse OP/EDs before.

The fanservice was to be expected seen as this is the substitute for rosario But I have to admit that they did over do lala's transformation.

The voice acting was good from everyone, and I do think that they fit (I keep hearing nobu in rita's friend ).

This will be a great, lax series imo. The manga is also lighthearted and fun so it would be hard to expect much seriousness. Well, maybe.

It's basically a show of Fanservice and wacky adventures.
No need to check the manga beforehand .
