i think it will be light-hearted since if it grimdark like madoka, people will say it "just Madoka with different character" or "why don't make a spin-off in Madoka world like Oriko and Kazumi if it dark" and it won't stand out. SHAFT is famous for being unique with their anime so i don't think they gonna make a madoka-like anime here

You can't say this show's not getting any publicity right now, with the way people are either hyping it up to be the next Madoka, or damning it because it might not be.
I wouldn't mind this being a rather 'ordinary' magical girls show. That's what I kinda expected from Madoka in the first place, before I learned who Gen Urobuchi is and what he's best known for. Either way, I'm expecting SHAFT to throw a surprise or two down my way. Most of their shows have never really been 'ordinary', and I'm not expecting this to be any exception.
