It's either the English dub ruined Accelerator or Okamoto-san is just THAT good as Accelerator.

When in doubt, just tell yourself, "At least it's not 4kids".

I watched a few more episodes. I like Aliester's voice and Touma actually has a decent evil laugh in episode 9.

Also what's wrong with 4kids? Everyone seems to have a problem with them, but I've never really been into dubs so I don't know why.

Then you really dodged a bullet with that one

4kids was the pinnacle, or should I say the depths, of everything that can be done wrong to an Anime dub. They made far too many unacceptable and insulting changes to the series that they dub.

They also made Bellemere's death more depressing in the English dub than in the original Japanese dub. All in the name of "appeasing the Moral Guardians".

In the original Japanese, Bellemere was shot in the head. In the English dub? She was left to rot in prison by the Fishmen!

Yeah, it's really like that.

After a quick read through, I find most (better than just some) of the reviewer's points were fair and on the mark- but since I didn't watch the dub I can't judge how accurate that particular assessment is.

I'm almost hesitant to read the comments section though.

I saw some of them and I felt like reading Naruto's fanbase who just happened to know the existence of a 12-24 anime series. Its like they are out of place and some, well...saying the series is going to be worse basing their opinion on spoilers...

Hmph. It shows that it's really difficult to create an engaging story with an Anti-Mage MC. But hey, at least Fate/Zero did it well, if only because its MC is a hardened battle veteran unlike the ordinary high school student like Touma.

Hmm... so how long has there been a Railgun BD available for preorder? I hadn't seen or heard any mention of it anywhere, it just magically appeared on my Amazon recommendations...

I'm hoping this is a sign of Index maybe getting one as well.

Never, it's a mistaken listing. Funimation is not releasing either To Aru series on BD.

This trailer fails to make Railgun look like an action series but some sort of slice-of-life.
And English Saten doesn't sound like a teenager! That voice would have been perfect for Mitsuko!
