It'll be a while more... but i'm going to publish Athena-RE once I'm done with the Silver Gospel's arc, which is about 1-2 chapters.

Anyway, I think I need help on something.

Other than heavy machineguns or cannons, what do "heavy" class soldiers use for weapons?

Normally that's not even man portable weapon.... sorry, ONE-man portable weapon. Such weapon is carried by a group in separate parts. Unless of course, you brought Power armor into account.

Otherwise, grenade launcher and all sort of shoulder-carired weapon.

Keeping the canon characters in character...

This is going to be a little tricky. I'm not even sure if I have them in character in their small appearances...

Maybe... I just need to chalk up on the writing style for Chapters 1-4 since the ones in 5 onwards are quite... different so to say.

Heavy Class soldiers, if you're going for realism, will carry no heavier than any of these:
- 1 Rocket launcher
or
- 1 M60

And those are their primary weapons alongside their standard issue rifles. Powered armor heavy class soldiers may take it up a notch and carry double the equipment weight. Hell, if they're that strong maybe you can give them an Avenger.

I'm not going with M60s because I heard that it has a reputation for jamming.

And get this, Thunder Crash was actually given M60s. Before Thunder Crash had it's own arsenal of weapons, it was given hand-me downs from the US armed forces. And M60s were one of them.

Fed up with the design flaws of the M60s, Thunder Crash made demands for M2 Brownings, and they got them. But these M2 Brownings were heavily modified for general purpose.

IIRC you mentioned that the skull suit would be a refurbished/unstable version of the IS pilot suit, right?

If that's the case, a hoodie is going to look rather odd.
