I was expecting this to be one of those edgy shows that 13 year olds who watch it prop up as the best thing ever because they think it's "mature" due to it having excessive amounts of blood, gore and nudity and was planning on dropping it after watching the first episode... however, what I was not expecting was this to basically be super light berserk where every character has the personality of a Jojo character.

I mean, if you go back to the trailer and watch Dark Schneider screaming like a rock singer, it shows you that goofiness is part of Bastard!!'s charm

The Bastard!! manga predates Berserk btw.

Sol is pretty much Dark Schneider, a abrasive 1990s anti-hero.

Ky Kiske is Kal Su.

Bastard is Dark Fantasy filled with reference to metal music, Guilty Gear is Post-Apocalyptic Science Fantasy filled with reference to metal music.

Not sure my this wasn't updated but it has been confirmed that a second season will be released on Netflix sometime in 2023; even the main site has updated new characters as well as posted new outfits of certain characters from the 1st season like of Yoko and the Princess in the new season.

Probably no one expects the anime story will go on.

The anime is based on the manga story. Due to work, the author of the manga became ill several time. So, the manga serialization stopped several time. Not certain if the story is going to be finished.

Yes, I can't wait for the next season. The cliffhanger at the end of Part 2 left me wanting more.
