Nanoha A's Portable - The Gears of Destiny [PSP Game]

Whenever we see an airborne character in Nanoha using a spell that requires a magic circle, we do see them in a standing position: i.e., their feet look planted firmly on the magic circle like a platform, rather than hanging somewhat in the air.

This of course doesn't mean anything, because all of the mages and knights in Nanoha and A's could fly. Teana looks like she's using a magic circle as a platform in the mock battle in ViVid, but again, we don't know if she can fly at this point.

Well, if she can stand on a magical platform she can pull a Subaru and create platforms to run on. Like Jubei in Hyakka ryouran.

The Liese Twins never did anything bad enough (to certain characters) for the fandom at large to hate them. Or even remember them for that matter.

Yeah, it was certainly announced ages ago. Still, it's held on to the same release date so I think it's all calculated. Have to wait until closer to December to see if it'll be delayed or not.

I brought it up way back when Yuuno was announced for it. In games like these a lot of players will choose characters they hate as the CPU in training mode and enjoy beating them up. Now that we have Precia, who will be in that position the most, her or Yuuno?

I haven't seen much Thoma hate outside of the initial "OMG A GUY IN MY YURI PARADISE!" thing. Then again I haven't been to the places where that hate would be most predominant. Still, Thoma hasn't done anything that would make him hated to the point where beating him up repeatedly would be pleasurable.

They betrayed and murdered the Wolkenritter while treating them as vermin, tormented and lied to Hayate, cut Vita's head off right in front of Hayate, framed the whole thing on Nanoha and Fate (which was another betrayal) and then cheerfully left Nanoha and Fate to die. Before that, Liese Lotte stabbed Fate in the back and stole her linker core.

I would think the fandom at large hated them almost as much as Precia. I know I did. They are traitors, liars, and sadists, and it's all made worse by their air of smug superiority.

The biggest difference is that the Lotte twins are important parts of Chrono's past, and comparatively no one cares to explore Chrono's past. Not compared to Fate, for whom Precia is a very big element, and also why Linith has gotten more development since A's despite having only ONE appearance that never got explained in the TV series itself.

Being covered in Drama CDs, manga and movies (and of course, fanfiction about Fate) has served to keep hate for Precia pretty fresh.

Meanwhile, additional materials, when they cover the Liese twins at all, never cover their hidden, traitorous side, but only the pleasant face they wore when interacting with Nanoha and Fate as TSAB officers. There's no exploration of their sadistic, knife-in-the-back side.


Now Linith (and of course Precia) are debutting in the video game because they are important figures in Fate's past, and Fate is a special darling of the fandom and writers.

The Liese twins are not appearing because, comparatively, no one gives a flip about Graham, and people are only marginally more interested in further exploration of Chrono's past.

Now that we have Precia, who will be in that position the most, her or Yuuno?

I'm afraid I don't see the point of such a question.

The answer may not even depend on which one the players hate more. Most people are more willing to hit males than females, and Yuuno is physically healthier and sturdier than Precia, and known for the strength of his defenses.

If the AI was sufficiently challenging, I might use Yuuno for my punching bag so that I could feel like actually doing damage to my opponent was a real accomplishment.

I mean, when you're not just practicing to familiarize yourself with a particular opponent's strengths and weaknesses, but just want to focus on how well you can smash through or cut around defenses and take someone out, you find the most competent turtle around to pit yourself against.
