I'll have to second Kara no Kyoukai: Remaining Sense of Pain.

I second Condor Hero, though ignore what jedinat said and watch it for yourself before deciding anything.

However, I highly recommend reading some manga because the rape is much more focused than the anime counterpart.

Guys this is a suggestion thread, not a discussion on what makes something popular or not. If you want to continue the discussion do it elsewhere.

Ef - A tale of melodies has a main girl that is raped, although I agree this is a weird area of suggestion.

Simply put, it's because, as I said at the start, there's a lot of shows out recently in which there was an attempted rape, or molestation without any clear indication of whether it went all the way to rape or not. I suppose it may be difficult to interestingly but tactfully indicate that an assault or abuse extended to rape, but I'm sure it can be done.

As for how I stated I view deception as rape, it's a bit of a fine line. It depends on under just what sort of conditions or situations the person would consent, and whether the other person knowingly and deliberately deceived that person to make them say yes. For example, read the start of Uwasa no Midori-kun(manga). That for one is a rape in my book, though I imagine it wouldn't stand up in court.

Just where in Full Moon was there a rape? I haven't seen all that much of it and it's been a while.

I may have to look up this Condor Hero thing, since it brought on so much discussion.

It was only in the manga, and involving her manager and the manager's boss IIRC... kind of weird given the context; I never really liked the manga for other reasons though. The anime's ending just kills the manga's, for one.

After some consideration, I'm adding two anime: Bokurano and Narutaru. Both are by the same author, and both have instances of the deception rape I'd mentioned before. The level of deception necessary to make it rape can be debatable, but the men in these two went to the level of Kyubey from Madoka Magica: they deliberately chose their words and actions to keep the girl from knowing various things that they know all too well would be absolute deal-breakers. They carefully deceived their victims in order to create an illusory circumstance or relationship in which the girl is willing to go all the way, knowing that she would never say yes otherwise. In one case, the man thinks of women as tools to make babies, offers full support for any children resulting from a union, but after the pregnancy lets the girl know that he's got a number of "loves" and children, and had never intended any serious commitment; in the other the guy's even worse, leading the girl on to believe that they were in love when really he was using her to make and sell porn, and in the manga even sells sessions with her to highest-paying customers. Both of these are all the more heinous on account of the fact that many of their numerous victims are in grade school or early middle school.

Mmm. The Condor Hero Trilogy remains one of my favorite wuxia (martial arts) series, and I must have read it like 5 times since high school, among other titles by Jin Yong. Though I'm not sure how good they would be in adapted manga and anime form. Though the specific series the OP would be looking for where rape is present would be the second in the trilogy: The Return of the Condor Heroes. It would be a blessing(IMO) if one can read the original novels in Chinese. The monologue and the thoughts during the fights just make the fights 300% more awesome! Novels of Wuxia stories >>>>> any visual medium adaptation.

EDIT:
@deadlights911
Is there rape in SAO? How come I can't seem to remember that?
BTOOOM is relatively interesting, though you require some amount of suspension of disbelief while watching it.

@Larethian:

You don't see anything but Asuna gets raped in the second to last episode, remember?

Raped? You mean fondled and licked a little? Her skirt didn't even come off. The bad guy was fully robed. Not to mention they are in a video game. (I dropped the anime after the first half--thought the plot elements introduced in the second half utterly ruined the show--so your comment just made me go and skim through the 24th episode out of morbid curiosity).

Hmm, well alright.

But I agree with you, Sword Art Online just went downhill after the first season
