Thanks a lot for the translation. The more I read about Tamako, the more I feel I'm going to love her. She sounds like the second coming of Akari Mizunashi (it sounds like her personality will be a bit different though).

I switched it to tldr tags (mostly out of curiosity), and it seems to work for me... Does it not work for you or for someone else? If there's a problem, perhaps it's a bug that can be fixed; perhaps a report could be posted here?

Hmm, that interview certainly does not reveal much about the direction of the plot, or what sort of focus the bird and all of that are going to get.
Both of them seem very enthusiastic about conveying a sort of healing feeling with the show, and so it gives me hope this will be closer to pure iyashikei, perhaps my favourite genre of anime. But to be frank, I don't have a clue what "the bonds between people" will translate to when it comes to character interactions and arcs. For the most part, I am glad about the setting being primarily the shopping district. All those great designs they've made have to be put to great use, and I trust Yamada as the kind of director that can pull off such a large cast. Hopefully, the show will be brimming with energy from episode 1, and this will be passed on to the viewers. I also await for the gorgeousness that is bound to come with Kyoani depicting a brand new setting like this; if the backgrounds and overall setting designs manage to be at the level of Hyouka's, we're in for a treat. |

I like how the interview continuously references the setting and how the characters relate to the setting. Even the baton club characters are described in terms of insiders/outsiders. I also like how it says that the POV isn't from Tamako (although I think I've already mentioned this ). Both of these are really interesting and I think they will make Tamako Market refreshing even for those who aren't huge fans of slice of life/healing anime. I'm a huge fan though so I'm happy either way . |

Prince (voiced by Hiro Shimono) The prince of a southern island. A calm and polite person. Attendant (voiced by Yuri Yamaoka) This girl serves as the prince's attendant. She works for the Toriura government. (umx note: it appears this island is called Toriura, which is a type of fortune telling using bird cries and some very brutal methods. Once we get the usual images, I'll edit them into this post, but these will do.)

Still ... why put up doubts for it before seeing it? Part of me remains doubtful, but another part of me feels like challenging KyoAni and saying "Bring it on! Just TRY and make a character that I would love more than Akari!"
