Sorry to ask, but is it true that there will be a time skip in AGE?

Saw this picture from RC blog comments,

Spoiler for 2ND Generation Promo:

Looks like Flitz gotten pretty old. And who is that blonde guy at the center? Could he be the main character after the time skip?

Yup! Time skip confirmed so that the blonde guy in the center becomes the central main character. His name's Asem Asuno, the current Gundam AGE-1 pilot/creator's future son, presumed pilot of the Gundam AGE-2 seen here.

Thanks for the input. While reading Wikipedia, it seems there will be three generations. The 2nd being Asemu as you said and the third being Kio. I am pretty much hype up for AGE now LOL!

P.S: Looks like Flit gotten Emily as his wife (blonde hair son... nooo Yurin

Yes, it's already been said that Gundam AGE will feature 3 generations of heros and all of them is the direct descendent of the previous hero. This is supposed to be one of the key attractions of AGE and what makes it different than previous Gundam series.

The blonde in the centre is Asemu, Flit's son, whom would most probably inherit Gundam AGE and the AGE System, which would evolve to what it looks like in the picture. The person on the right is most probably Flit when he is all grown up (in his 30s-40s) since he shares pretty much all the features of current Flit (same hair style and colour). The person of the left is being speculated to be either Woolf or a decendent of Woolf, but nobody knows for sure yet.

Asemu will also have a son, Kio, and he would be the third protagonist of AGE.

4chan ain't all bad sometimes, those pictures were at the top of the first page in the mecha section. So I think they JUST got posted when I saw them. Talk about good timing,

The transformation pose is pretty neat, and I agree, I see the Union Flag in there. Same goes with the Zedas as well.

I'm finding myself on the fence with regards to the design, and hoping that this is only the first of many variants. Why? As it is, it looks a bit too...simplistic

So I take it you prefer a more complex design? What would be complex enough? I think it looks pretty busy myself.

Maybe simplistic is the wrong word. I would have liked a design that is somehow more "special", something more unique and appropriate for the lead mobile suit, than using a transformation scheme from a grunt suit or the UE suits.

However, I fully expect to be dazzled when it's actually animated.

Looks like AGE-2 still have the same spoiler design on its back like AGE-1. This design really inspired by Union Flag+Zedas+Zeta Gundam's characteristics, I like it.

I think the designer needs to make it possible that the transformation can translate well to model kit form, without making it too complicated or fragile. Look at all the recent transformable MS, all they basically do is lie down and some plan parts will cover their head.

I like AGE-2 transformation. A nice use of the Flag's transformation

Don't forget though that this is an evolving machine so it cannot be too complex as it's still going to be changing parts, especially now that it's a transformer.

Cool, though I was expecting a Zeta-like waverider form with no visible head. I would assume that AGE-2 is as tall and imposing as Zeta.

Simple isnt always bad though, just look at the Brave, Kyrios, Hellion and so on, most people have a tendency to dislike designs until they see animated, same goes for me
