yeah.. that's what i mean... gisu is strong(or maybe not.. he just folowing hitogami order though) even rudeus admitted that he is a coward (i forget what chapter he said it)...
his character development is interesting... remember early chapter that he hate his brother for breaking his PC?? (i dont like when he talk about that), than when paul died he understand... or when he and paul had a fight, or when norn shut in....
and now i wonder what he will do now or what he realize when he is being ambush for the first time (when escorting ariel doesnt count because orsted already told him) by powerful enemy... (or what the author will write)...

Its not like I don't see where your coming from about them ambushing him especially when you consider the status of the two and the fact that they didn't seem to think much of Rudeus to begin with. (So why ambush?)
They were more than likely following the plan that Gisu\Hito laid out for them, who are unaware of what Rudeus is capable of.

And at that moment all of the supards look in shock at a specific direction, because with their third eye they can see a large figure moving at a tremendous speed toward the village.

Being afraid when there is valid reason to be is not cowardice, well yeah Rudy doesn't have highest self-esteem around (nor lowest), but he never hesitated do what he had to. So even if he said something around these lines it just means he is wrong.

I reread some of the new chapters, why no one commented anything about swordsman, dog, monkey-face and pheasant-face helping Ogre God to defeat ocean race and gain his loyalty? Does monkey-face not rub you well with Ogre God being high-risk apostle?

Seem like the author might do a little rewrite for chapter 247. People pointed out stuff like why didn't sword god cut off Rudy head right away instead of his arms and how could Rudy be so careless and stuff so we can expect some changes to the chapter. I have a look at the current version and I do think Rudy was kind of dumb, he let them surround him on a bridge with nowhere to escape and he was by himself no less. And the fact that it take him so long to process that hey they have the same ring and maybe this is a trap. Seriously the moment he saw the ring he should have started the summoning of mk1, but no he take time to ask who they are, I mean come on.

Ps. New chapter came out and it seem orsted fked up. He shouldn't left sharia now Rudy kid could be in danger.

-Elf secretary is in the office looking at stone tablets. Sylphy sends message about Sword God being disappeared. She is about to send that info to Eris, but Fierce God appears behind her. He breaks the wall, throws her out, and crushes the whole office.
-Roxy and Eris are about to use the teleport circle, but they notice it does not work, and neither does stone tablet. They realize something has happened. Eris says that Sylphy promised to take care of children. Roxy thinks about it, but they have no way to return, only Sylphy uses old teleporation circes, so they can only leave it to her and Leo. They decide to go to Supard village. (Oni clan will also take part of investigation squad, and they are preparing for the war)
-Zanoba realizes same as they did. He tries to use the flute to contact Pergius, but gets no answer. He also decides to go Supard Village.

He cut arms to prevent magic being activated, and then tried to cut him in half. Usually it works as well as cutting head of. It only failed because he used normal sword and mk.II was too hard, especially the scroll decive part.

As why he did not go for the head immidietely, neither of them seemed to take Rudy seriously. Farion wanted to show off a bit before giving the killing blow. Just a bit fun before the real deal.

Rudy being careless is nothing new, he has also habit of freezing when something unexpected happens. He was too focused on saving Supards to pay enough attention to his companions. It was anyway the situation where there was a very little he could do. I would have broken the bridge first, but he did not really have time to think about it.

Yea I'm pretty sure the term good turning point is an oxymoron. Things are going to downtown FUBAR land fast. It's time for Leo to earn his lordly pay on the home defense front.

If there is a turning point up next I hope it's a good thing. (But when has it ever been a good thing.)

Actually, the turning points have always been negative but end up having a positive effect on the story.

Turning point 1: the metastasis event, Rudi met Rudjerd and travelled the continent becoming stronger (although there were some negatives in that a lot of people died, but overall character growth was positive)

Turning point 2: Orsted puts hole in Rudis' chest event, Rudi learned Ran ma, met Nanahoshi and lost bait of his aragonite attitude.

Turning point 3: Sylphy pregnant, letter from Gisu to go to Begaritto event, meets Roxy, find mother(although he loses his father, but meh Pauls death flag was raised from the end Vol. 1 when he separated from Rudi).

Turning point 4: Hitogami attempted murder and alternate Rudi down fall event, led to the development of magic armour, Eris as 3rd wife, joining Orsted.

All together there were more positives than negatives, so if there is a turning point within this chapter precedence dictates that we will see some negatives and some positives.
