Just a note, it's two episodes airing today, back-to-back. Not a 1-hour special but they are airing two episodes on the same day.
Episode 1: Not going to lie, this was really generic (as I had expected) They got ...Fuuka bumping into Yuu in the typical girl meets boy with panty showing. The blushing, acting as couple, transfer student, etc. Pretty much every trope you can think of from the book. Also, it's 12 episodes so it's going to be likely rushed. Surprisingly, I think the OP song fits for this show as there's music elements in the main story.

Fuuka's kind of a b**** right off the bat, way more than Suzuka ever was.
But the rest of the episodes, she was okay, making it feel almost uncharacteristic over the top she reacted in the begining

Episode 2
If we talk about how is the adaptation doing compared to the manga, I must say is quite good, capturing those moments and reactions from the characters. This second episode have less fanservice than the first one but the animation quality was simply average. |

I haven't seen a "typical high school romance" for a while, so it was kinda amusing. 2017 and we can still have all these boxes ticked in the first episode.
Guilty pleasure? Fast food? Maybe I'll watch it with that excuse.

I just watched the first two episodes. I liked it a lot!
Yes, a lot of it is conventional, but the way everything comes together gives it a very naturalistic and kinda modern feeling to me. The MC's cellphone habits is a big part of that for me. Anime can at times seem strangely retro or out-of-date when it comes to modern electronics use, but this show decently captures how many young people use cell-phones today with how the MC approaches them. That cell-phone use also makes some very tired old jokes seem at least a little bit fresh and more believable than usual. Most importantly, the two lead girls are pretty likeable and very engaging so far, and I like the plot/setting setup being done so far.

Well the MC seem to be unlucky when Fuuka the first few time and all his sisters walking around in there underwear but at less he got some luck seeing her panties all the time worth get slaped for it
