Of the three, Oishinbo is the only one that is connected to real dishes made in the real world. It is also about being a gourmand, not a chef. The main characters are food critics.

reviving a dead thread ....
recently I was asked for the first 2 subbed oishinbo episodes and had to dig through the fansub collections of friends. It wasn't available by torrent or direct download. So I'm posting download links for the first two episodes here in case anyone missed the ANBU release about 2 years ago or so. If posting download urls is against the rules please edit them out http://www.sendspace.com/file/a81gb4 Oishinbo Episode 1 http://www.sendspace.com/file/sdaclv Oishinbo Episode 2

Already mentioned in the thread, crustol was the translator of the ANBU episodes. He retired and the Oishinbo project went into limbo. The series is old (1988-1992), dialogue-heavy and there's a total of 136 episodes. This is enough to scare away any translators =p
That being said If there's any qualified souls who'd want to translate, send me a PM / memo via irc ( asunder on rizon )

This was posted long ago, but itīs wrong. Mister Ajikko (ミスター味っ子) is an anime series completely different from Cooking Master Boy aka Chuuka Ichiban! (中華一番!). If someone wants no know Mister Ajikko, it was released on HK DVD with subs that I donīt know but probably arenīt good. |

Wish I could find a team to muscle on through it...
The series is re-airing in Japan at the moment with higher quality TV caps coming out (it's never been released on DVD). Shame nobody recapped the 2 movies though, I really want to release them... UPDATE: The 2 movies are being re-aired this month! Watch this space as we'll finally be putting these out (provided we get a cap!)!
