What audio Codec does Clannad use?

which Audio Codec does the Eclipse .MKV version of Clannad use?
I need to be able to download the component for Quicktime for it.
Right now, getting no audio in quicktime.
If I can find the right codec then I can use Visual Hub to convert it to
Itunes friendly format.

It is most likely either Vorbis or AAC. If you plan to use Quicktime you need to get something like Perian, which will cover both. Otherwise get MPlayer, which will play/convert anything you ever run into ever again.

Since you posted another thread that has some more recent replies than in this thread, I think you've discovered the problem and the fix. I'll detail it here for anyone else who was curious.

Quicktime 7.3(.1?) did something odd with AC3 support. If you were using Perian to play fansubs and other video through Quicktime, you'd have a sudden loss of sound support and Quicktime would be claiming that there were missing components. Note that only files with AC3 were affected by this.

If you use MPlayer to play files, you're not impacted by this. The current release version of Perian is 1.0; version 1.1 is currently going through a closed beta, but you can compile it and test it yourself if you like. The beta (and version 1.1, when it's released) should resolve the issue with AC3 sound.

All Eclipse MKV releases ever use (Ogg) Vorbis.

Yep. Occasionally (rarely) AAC, if the source audio is very good and has the right target bitrate, I simply remux. Normally, 95% of the releases are Vorbis though.

Simply look at the tagging of the streams. Then you'll know for sure.
