OK, it's getting a bit derailed, so I'll add that while I too believe normal Accelerator is still stronger, I don't think he would be able to curbstomp this Mikoto. It could even get troublesome if he was to lower his guard.

Look at what happen to Kakine and he awaken's on his own without external help. And Kakine is in control when that happen. Mikoto is just a puppet right now.

To be fair, Accelerator's ability is plain cheating and its way to easy for him to win that he probably didn't think of any inventive way to kill.

Look at Accel and Touma's first fight. He just realize on when his getting curb stump that he can control the world's air/environment. Air is around all the time but when he didn't even need it, he didn't even notice it.

@tsunade666 - I never said Accelerator would lose, but that it could be problematic if he underestimates her... Which is unlikely already given his analytical skill.

Also, I'm comparing with "normal" Accelerator (starting Accelerator if you may). Against Kakine he was already on a different level (technically still level 5, but you know what I mean).

Anyway, Mikoto being a puppet to Gensei doesn't make her less fearsome... In fact, she might be more dangerous that way ... this is Gensei who we are talking about.

well , if mikoto manages to use more eletricity then accelerator can calculate then she should have a chance. But we gotta say that while mikoto is in 5.02 mode , accelerator by now should be at least 5,50 mode (considering the fights not only with the sisters but against all the lastest enemies too) so we have to wait for mikoto to reach at least that level to make comparisons
And she is said to be aleister favourite too , wonder why though. Is he planning to use her with misaka network and accellerator for something???maybe to control touma's power and nullify magic in all world??

Does Accelerator still need the Misaka network during the Mikoto 5.02 period? Would he lose access to all the calculations right now since Mikoto is using it?

Sure but if they're actively doing calculations for Mikoto then they wouldn't have capacity left for Accelerator.

If you are going to shot each other down, then please examine the story closer. First, as to whether Accelerator can turn off Reflection. As another poster previously stated, NO. Accelerator uses a large amount of his calculation ability subconsciously for Reflection. It is set to reflect any vector that comes in contact with him, with the exception of Air, gravity, and others necessary for his survival. If anything he has not set to come through touches him, whether he knows it is coming or not, it is reflected. About magic, it works similar to Kakine's Dark Matter, in that it uses vectors from outside of his known reality and so bypasses Reflection. However, once he gets a grasp of the alternate physics involved, he can set them to be reflected. Finally, with regards to Teleportation, it involves calculating motion into other dimensions, the 11th precisely, and back. The key word being motion, in that moving something between dimensions requires at least to vectors. As long as he understands the physics, and givin' the fact of his superior calculation and probable previous encounters with Teleporters, not an uncommon power so I am inclined to believe he does, then reflection will work.
The most probable result would be either the teleported item reappearing in the wrong location, or not returning from the 11th dimension at all.

Now with that cleared up, you can come up with a way way to defeat Accelerator without Imagine Breaker. After all, different styles of magic, like Jewish as compared to Roman Catholic, have different innate vectors.

Er, actually, having strange vectors isn't enough. Accelerator doesn't understand magic until volume 22, while in volume 20 he blocks the attacks some Russian magicians send his way just fine. He says he can't understand the attacks, but his reflection still functions, it just functions strangely.

He held up his right hand, the sole area his reflection was activated on.

The water spear was smashed to pieces.

The water turned to a rainbow of light that flowed diagonally back from his right hand. It acted as a wall of pressure that knocked away 4 of 5 of Vodyanoy’s comrades.

Accelerator had blocked the attack, but he frowned.

He couldn’t figure it out.

If his reflection had succeeded, the water spear should have head straight back at Vodyanoy and pierced her arm. Instead, it had gone astray and had disintegrated into a rainbow of light. It had been an odd phenomenon. It hadn’t been something like steam created from water or ice. Accelerator had caused the reflection but he didn’t understand the process by which it had turned to light.

It felt like having something you had grabbed with the tips of your fingers slipping away.

When he reflected teleportation powers, a strange phenomenon occurred in the 3 dimensional world, but this had felt entirely different.

However, he did not have time to think about it.

Vodyanoy seemed confused, too. As if to check what had happened, she created the exact same water spear once more. She watched him carefully as the attack hit as if looking for a way through his defenses.

This was convenient for Accelerator.

He held his palm forward and the water spear turned to rainbow-colored light once more.

However, something was different from the previous time.

One portion of the rainbow-colored light almost scratched Last Order’s cheek.

“…You need to be careful.”

A tremendous noise rang out.

It was the sound of Accelerator lightly stepping on the ground and causing a huge tsunami of snow to rise up. It swallowed up Vodyanoy and the others. Unlike a normal tsunami, it had overwhelming speed. It was faster than Vodyanoy and the others and the wall of snow knocked the attackers unconscious.

“Yeah, the right hand just doesn’t suit me.”

Checking that he had taken care of all the enemies, Accelerator flipped the electrode’s switch and thought for a bit.

What had that water spear been?

The grasp of its vectors had been completely different from the scientific powers developed in Academy City.

Different vectors.

Different laws.

Same thing happens with Gabriel.

BOOM!! The sound of explosions rang throughout the air. Against the doll-like angel of ice, Reflection was largely ineffective. Even though he used Reflection, the wings of ice were like soft candy, as they were bent out of shape, they were sent flying towards the forests, sending up ice and dirt as they went along.

His reflection doesn't send things back perfectly when he can't understand the vectors, but it still protects him just fine. Dark Matter got through by exploiting the fact that he needs some amount of sunlight in order to live and tricking his vector shield into thinking the sunlight was harmless.

The attack Fiamma threw piercing his vectors makes sense if you consider that Fiamma's attacks specifically have no explicit speed or force, they just hit and destroy the target basically because Fiamma throws it. Aiwass is the strongest being in the series more than likely, her being able to pierce it is no surprise. Or it could just be an aspect of Telesma.

An intersting thought came up during coffee today:

The Mighty Shield weilded by Captain Steven Rogers of The Howling Commandos is said to not only be absolutely unbreakable (not even GODS can break it), but also be able to reflect ALL force directed into it.

This was rather graphcially demonstrated when he emerged unscathed in the center of a crater in a forrest blasted free of vegetation and animal life, caused by The God Of Thunder striking his Hammer FULL FORCE into his shield.

So.

If Captain Rogers stikes Accelerator through his Mighty Shield with ALL his might, and the little devil plays his "reflect-force" card, every bone in his arm, shoulder and possibly ribcage would theoretically shatter as ALL the force is reflected once more right back into him, yes?

Nah, you're misunderstanding how the shield works, the shield doesn't reflect anything. Accelerator would reflect the force of the blow back into the shield and the shield would just absorb it. The movie did something weird with it.

And if it did, Accelerator would just reflect the force again, presuming creating a loop until one of them moves off.

I also don't really get the point of all these ways of beating Accel from other universes. Toaru isn't a very high tier verse, there's plenty of verses or characters from other verses that can take Accel. It's more interesting to try to find a way to do it within his own verse.

Hell I don't even get the obsession with finding a way to beat him. There's tons of people in his own verse that can take out Accelerator. Why not focusing on Fiamma for once? Or Kakine? That guy is a freaking cockroach when it comes to surviving.

For the record, this was a mistranslation. Looking at the original text, Gensei says he is using Misaka's body to trigger the awakening of a sleeping power that is a/the favorite of the General Superintendent.

What about the spell that the Pope used in an attempt to stop Fiamma? It sounds like it is a spell that affects the mind and Accelerator hasn't shown that he can defend himself against those.
