Well, I think I see how this is going to go...
I honestly underestimated Slaine's resolve to go through with his plan. He honestly doesn't care about anything other than getting it accomplished. He knows Asseylum won't want it, but he's not afraid to stand up against her in order to get it done. I can't say that I agree with his plan, and I think that his thinking is wrong. He wants to make a new world of peace, but he's going about it the wrong way. At this point, I do believe that he will die in the end, but that he will probably accomplish what he set out to do. Asseylum is correct in that Slaine has changed. He's no longer the naive boy she knew. He has been hardened by the war that he's had to endure and he's now on the other end of the spectrum in that he thinks there can never be any peace between Earth and Vers. He wants to make a new world out of Earth that can change all that. His intentions are right, but his method is wrong. The meeting between Asseylum and Lemrina was pretty much glanced over, but I guess either they will talk about it more later, or the writers just didn't care. However, they are now all under house arrest as Slaine continues, not caring if they will ever know or understand at all. Slaine does really want Asseylum to be happy (a blurb from the story synopsis from Japan says that he was being completely honest in his talk with Eddelrittuo last episode) be he's thinking long term rather than short term. He know that the way he's doing things, she wouldn't want, but he's doing it anyway because he thinks that it's what's best to do in this war that he doesn't think will ever end. He's renounced his citizenship of either Earth or Vers and is now a third faction unto himself. Inaho and the gang did a marvelous job this week and Count Orla's kataphrackt had to be the best one. Really? Quantum teleportation? He basically teleports different versions of himself, all real, to the same reality and controls them all. The power of Aldnoah seems to have no bounds. However, Inaho is continuing to have all power over the battlefield and it is causing havoc on his eye, a foreshadowing of events to come. The final battle is nearing with the UFE high command ordering a new campaign that will mostly likely be aimed towards moonbase itself. Slaine is gearing up for the final battle as well. But then, on top of all of that, Count Cruhteo's son, Count Klancain, comes from Vers to see Slaine. He doesn't seem too bad, but he will probably be the one to get the princess out of there. Well, the end is coming soon, and I have to say the ride has never been dull.

(And that's not even addressing the fundamental flaw in his plan -- a unified mankind will stop war until Zeon Deikun shows up and starts preaching spacenoid superiority.) |

"He is doing for everyone's sake."
This is what every Tyrant said before they realized their ambitions. Wow, the Copy Kat is seriously overpowered but too bad, Inaho is more broken. Apparently, the relationship between two sisters were better than I thought. |

And I can't see him trying to unify anything or bring under control, just wiping out and taking everything for one of the sides of the conflict. (unless he has the same plan as Lelouch had for ZR, but this would be lame, really) Anyway - the whole show is a joke if you try to take it seriously.
