It was cut, so chances are he did get sent drifting, which isn't much better. The Lohengrin positron cannon essentially works on the principles of antimatter, there was no way in hell he should've survived.

Or Mwu surviving was a retcon and he was supposed to die like Andrew Waltfeld but they changed it after the fact because they got cold feet.
Literally no way Andrew Waltfeld could have survived his death scene. Especially since when it happened he was hugging Aisha. They can't even go with her body shielding him because of how much smaller she was than him and the fact that he took the brunt of the explosion with her. Sure while Kira living and than appearing in space(A big WTF moment if you don't read Astray) was BS it wasn't anywhere near as BS as was Andrew and Mwu's survivals. |

To be honest though. I'd have preferred Flay survive than Mwu. His death was epic and they ruined it with a retcon. Last edited by S.Freedom; 2013-04-11 at 23:44. |

Gundam Seed was all about the BS survival. Makes those that actually died go "hey!?"
Maybe Death was said "whoa I can't take good guys like Andrew Waltfeld and Mwu. Back you go!" Guess one can say the Strike was really good at keeping its pilot alive. That and Kira somewhat pulled a Shinn except at least he killed half the inhabitants in Waltfeld's suit.

I'm somewhat confident that just may happen. The SEED remaster was a huge success wasn't it? Reigniting intereset in the Cosmic Era. Destiny is sure to do so as well. With these two remasters, the SEED franchise will be fresh in people's mind, making it more appropriate to start the movie. IMO of course.

do we really need a movie? don't like all the voice actors hate there time with the seed destiny anime. why would they want to come back for more abuse/getting their character butchered even more? We all know if there's going to be a movie it'll just be Kira and Lacus with cameos of athrun and shinn.

Much like how Lalah continued to haunt Amuro and Char, until it came ahead in CCA?
Why not bring up a new character, one who claims to be related to both Kira and Fllay (think Beltorchika's Children)? Of course, that wouldn't go over with the Kira/Lacus fanbase.

Only because Rau didn't give them a chance to have a heart to heart about the screwed up relationship they had. Just think what could've happened if they'd managed to talk through their issues. It surely would've helped Kira's mental health loads. And it would've completed Flay's redemption if you ask me.
Though I'll admit to having a soft spot for redheads so I may not be entirely unbiased where Flay is concerned. The only way someone could claim to be related to both Kira and Flay is if Flay was preggers with Kira's kid and somehow gave birth while with Rau. Not unless it's somehow revealed that they where third cousins or something. |

It's the novel adaptation of Char's Counterattack, and I believe that it was supposed to be one of the earlier drafts for CCA, and is known for introducing the Hi-Nu Gundam (a more compete version of the Nu Gundam).
AFAIK, in the novel, Amuro and Beltorchika had a child. Supposedly, Tomino planned to have Beltorchika in CCA, but after he was denied by Sunrise, she was replaced by Chan Agi.
