Just read up on Erich Hartmann, and whoa no wonder Erica-chan is portrayed as such a formidable warrior: the real Hartmann is said to be the greatest Sky Warrior of all time, bar none to this day.

Just quickly: would it be a good or bad idea to go to Mr Hartmann's grave, and all in the spirit of respect of course, give an offering of a(n unopened, still in shrink warp) Erica Hartman Figma set?

Just reading about his accomplisments as a warrior makes me want to do something as a gesture of reverence/respect for him as an otaku.

unfortunately that's not official artwork. It's original from an artist from the Pixiv community who does decent fan adaptations from various anime series.

He always puts a lot of detailinto his work so it comes across looking almost like the real deal
